You know you can’t always trust what you see in the OP, but actually I hope that Alicia is a Valkyria. I thought so when she opened the passage in those ruins just by touching it. Anyway, I loved this episode and we got to see a little bit more of Rosie and why she hates Darcsens so much. I really think the resistance leader seems to be sweet on her.

Oh yeah, it looks like Alicia has two suitors in Welkin and Faldio. Finally, Welkin is starting to realize that he cares for Alicia and Faldio is a sweet pervert. First, he saves her then he says he wants to stay on top of her for a while? Oh for goodness sakes what a nasty boy he is!!!
well she might be half which is why her hair isn’t grey/silver.

I agree with you J. That’s why even though I enjoyed the first OP, I’m really enjoying this one more. There’s more action and it really makes you want to watch this anime even more.

Also, why would they reveal that Alicia is a valkyria in the OP? Did they assume all the people watching it would figure it out after that one episode with the temple?

Did u know this show was based on a game dam i didn’t know that. well i guess they assumed that we all played the game so they dicided to do that opening even though it sucked and took all the suprise away dam i would of never of guessed

Maybe it’s because I haven’t said enough times the anime is based in a PS3 turn based strategy videogame with the same name: “Senjou no Valkyria”. So yes, pretty much we could say they assumed we all have played the game. Actually I did it but I think it sucks too much to spoil the surprise in the OP. Also don’t get fooled by the name, the main character is Welkin, which is what represents the player.

Yes Alicia is a Valkyrur. If you’ve played the game on the PS3, the whole story is already there. The anime just has more talking to it and a little comedy here and there.
sry but i never played the game. but after watchin this ep i felt like checkin it out on ign. and janz i dont know you, no offense. this anime is nice and all and i enjoy watchin it but when the curtains fall its off to the next show.
The game is called “Valkyria Chronicles”, which the anime is based off of. By SEGA–it’s a really just fantastic turn-based RPG with an action twist. You activate characters in a turn-based minimap, then control them from a third-person perspective on the ground.
One of the best games of 2008. Shame that nobody played it, but SEGA were complete idiots about it and threw their money behind another bad Sonic game instead of this unappreciated gem.
Just because it’s in the intro doesn’t mean it’s in the series. It might be true, it might not, try not to set too much store by the openings.

I actually heard sales of the game increased by 400% since April 2009 in the US.
Man, they spoiled this anime when they did that OP…
Ah well, we can only wait and see how they make this different from the game or manga…

Thats like saying u see Lelouch using geass in the op, but they decided that it was pure eye candy and it is not important to exactly put it in the story. Not to mention both geass and Valkyria are both in the title for both series
