Seriously why does all the girl characters are hot and have big tits all the time even the witches!
Kinda disappointed in this so far. It is no doubt entertaining enough to watch but I can’t help but compare it to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni… Which isn’t a good thing for anything not near as good.
The charm of Higurashi was it’s characters and their mysteries.
Umineko has blatantly decided so far they don’t want any of the characters to be bad guys, and more so that they don’t want most of them to be at all lovable. =/
Worst yet is they have avoided every trace of mystery that they have come across by flaunting witches and magic and demons around.
I still have faith that something can come of it, but none that it will equal Higurashi at this time.

You’re right about a couple of things. This anime is pretty crappy, especially to anyone who hasn’t read the VN, unlike Higurashi which actually had a decent adaptation. The anime skips around alot and doesn’t focus enough on certain scenes (the ones they didn’t leave out anyway) making it confusing and not nearly as enjoyable as the VN. As for mystery, there’s plenty left, don’t worry. Even in the Visual Novels it isn’t known for sure whether magic actually exists or not. SPOILERS. Whatever happens on the game board (Rokkenjima) that Piece Battler (Battler on Rokkenjima) doesn’t witness can’t be viewed as the absolute truth, especially the magic killings and demons and such, as they’re only what Beato is showing Meta Battler (Battler outside the game board in the witche’s world.) It’s explained with the Braun Tube theory later on, which the anime will probably make short and confusing. Basically it states that what Beato is showing Battler (IE the magic killings, demons, etc.) Is just her form of the truth, implying that it really isn’t happening that way at all. Only what Battler on Rokkenjima witnesses himself is absolutely true.

btw, the voice actor of the dude in blue suit in 14:16 or in 16:14…isn’t captain yamato’s voice actor from naruto? sure sounds similar to me…
I haven’t read the VN and I think it’s fantastic. I do agree it’s really hard to follow, but you can follow it. Right now, I think this is better then Higurashi.
LOL!! Kyon and Koizumi have reversed roles in this anime!
