i dono, but i think, 90% of people who watch this anime, have quit the series, its pointless, why the fuck would u make 9 of the same episode. AFTER WHAT 300000000000 MILLION TIMES, CAN KON JUST FIGURE OUT THAT SHE WANTS TO GO ON A PLANE, SKYDIVEING OR SOMETHING its not hard to figure out.
this might me the last =3 after this I hope Kyon will stop haruhi before she leaves..
this is lame. I think I will watch every episode, because if I have watched up to this point, I would look stupid quitting right now…

YAY!!! finally, I agree with heyhey though, many S1 fans left cuz of these 9 episodes. Even though that’s the actual way manga goes, making 9 virtually identical episodes is a bit too much because all the people who were exited for S2 lost that feeling already, though I hope the series picks up from now on.

All of you don’t get it, Haruhi was just waiting for the confession of Kyon for the memorable experience, Will I’m very tired of the same episode until I come up ,she was just waiting for it the clues are given , at the scene where they’re looking for UFO in mars that th esper and kyon talking about the LOVE what so ever and also the scene where Haruchi watch the love story movie. It is up to the author where to end it , maybe it will still going until the end of the season two.

Well The authors mistake is he didn’t change the story script just the same and it didn’t change the end of the episode is just the same ,well I bored of watching I’m just waiting for the confession of Kyon to Haruhi.

okay, for all the 10 year olds that have the patience of a timebomb, there is a meaning behind all the repeat episodes. dont dimiss it as filler because the anime series follows the light novels which is already very far ahead. dont say its laziness because all episode are brilliantly animated. this is what a good anime is, making you feel the emotions of the characters. in this case, its nagato’s feelings. watching this once or twice and then having a resolution doesn’t give yu the same impression of something repeating 15,532 times. since we are no where near the level of nagato, they obviously couldn’t animate 15,532 repeating episodes. (because if they are released in a weekly basis it would take about 300-odd years) after 8 episodes of the same thing repeating over and over, yu can feel a little sample of what nagato has been feeling. this is a work of art and if yu dont like it then your just not refined enough to appreciate it.

Agreed. Though seemingly mindless in the beginning few, one can really come to appreciate the show and it’s awesome randomness in the first season by watching these 8, though slow and repetitive, there is that same randomness in the art, emotion, and those one-liners that make the humor of the show. Nagato especially, and to those fans that know what arc is next, YUS.

@Hikaru: It really IS filler, and as an adult, I really don’t care about subtle changes like clothing and some dialogue when I essentially have to watch the exact same episode 6-7 times in a row. It’s not clever, it’s lazy and exploiting the fans, and whoever came up with the idea is a cynical son of a bitch. I’m dying to see how the first DVDs are going to sell once people find out about the episodes.

OMFG FINALLY!!! Thank God, it’s finally over! Kyon finally got the balls to yell something and stop Haruhi! He even pissed her off when he started to take charge and issue commands at Itsuki, Mikuru, and Yuki! XD That was funny. Man, I knew it! I knew if he yelled homework, that definitely would get Haruhi’s attention! Fuck, this better not be the end of season 2. That would just suck.

Well i agree that a bit more diversion among the episodes would have been nice, but even so i feel that every episode was worth watching.
Unfortunately someone had spoiled the ending in the comments for an earlier episode, which really took the edge of it.
Well i’m pretty sure i’m never going to watch the full season again.

I have to admit it was boring to repeat the same episode with few differenses and aspects, but I still find it somehow cool and unique. Especially now when those butthoes decided to bring an end to this.

I survived Endless Eight and I didn’t even get my f***ing t-shirt.
I know I’m going to sound stupid for asking, but was there any reason why they extended Endless Eight past its original length? I mean, one or two extra times wouldn’t have been so bad, but so many episodes based on one chapter of a book is insane. Especially since the book only had the one cycle (not even the original summer experience was shown, only #15,498).
Arrrrgggghhhhh!!!!!! It’s finally over! Good thing I kept on skipping each episode to the end. I wouldn’t wanna feel like the poor saps that had to endure each Endless Eight episode just for some sort of wonderous, suprise conclusion. Although, the conclusion of the Endless Eight did leave a bad after taste… You know that feeling of the “Sneeze” that got away? You try to force a sneeze to feel better because of the one you lost? Same feeling here… very disappointed… I just hope that this series could provide that wasted sneeze…

No matter how much they cram into each episode that shows the tiniest of tidbits referring to other stories or character development, the moment they didn’t end this storyline after two episodes they were pushing their luck. Because of how long they dragged it on, it’s no surprise WHATSOEVER that many people view this as annoying, filler or what have you
At least this filler arc (lol) is over now and we can get on to the more interesting story.

endless eight episodes were very well made. Always the same but always different. A wonderful artwork far from lazy…

It’s over. For 8 episodes they replayed the same episode again and again with slight changes. Speaking of which, when an anime is loyal to the story of the short novel/manga, pretty sure haruhi stays that way. xD
Nagato was as shocked as I’ve ever seen her, that subtle hint of surprise on her face was great.

I thought Endless Eight would be boring, but it was funny in some way watching it, even so, killing peoples minds with this 8 streak, Haruhi still has a number of fans on her, wich became even more of an otaku. Myself too…
I liked the Pandora thing, and Haruhi sleeping with Asahina-san on the roof. Moments from endless eight, I think after about a few months I am going to review this!

This arc really ruined the series for me. I thought it was ridiculously overplayed. Once or twice would have been fine, but to drag it out over the corse of like 6 episodes is just horse crap and lame.
