   Very cool episode, lots of action. Not as insane as I thought it be, but its far better than most animes that drone of one fight, then the next, then the next, etc. Soul Eater did a great job of showing multiple battles throughout this episode. AND next week’s episode looks great!!! Hopefully we can see Maka, Kid, and Star do up their Soul Link!!!!

    Unfortunately this anime probably won’t be seeing subtitles for a long time. Turns out most of the fansub groups have received letters from Funimation, (or was it Viz?) asking that they stop subbing Soul Eater, immediately.

    It won’t be subbed anytime soon because Funimation has been sending out Cease and Desist orders to Fansub groups. It’s lame!

    GD Funimation…. they haven’t even picked up the contract to distribute Soul Eater in North America and they are the ones sending these letter to fan sub groups….

    Funimation notes, as it has in past cease-and-desist efforts, “We want to stress that though these series are not yet licensed to a distribution company in the U.S., the rights owned by Japanese producers are still applicable, and enforceable, worldwide. ”

    So just because they will someday buy the rights to distribute they get to send out letters that scare all our little fansubbers into not subbing for us anymore…. all in all either a fansubbing group with some balls has to start subbin OR we have to wait till they english dub it when they eventually pick up the contract (probably 4 years from now)…. this is complete BS

    well actually we who can’t understand Japanese don’t really make the shows “what they r!” because we don’t see any of the advertisements that usually go along with these shows that make these shows money…. but we do spread the word so that when it does come out in English…. people will actually watch the show because people like me tell other people about how awesome the show is…. but hey dumb ass marketing managers working for big companies don’t think about stuff like that now do they? if it doesn’t bring in money now it’s not worth it in their minds…. they need to hire people with a brain to actually promote these damn shows…. i swear i could bring the ratings of these shows up tenfold and yes one of my strategies would be letting fansubbers sub the damn shows…. course another one of my strategies would be making people watch the commercials but hey wouldn’t that be a win win? the show gets money from advertisements…. the idiots like me and non Japanese literate people get their subs…. and the marketing execs get a show all over the internet boosting ratings exponentially. Really i’m just tryin to come up with an excuse to get Soul Eater subbed but makes sence ya?

    the whole point of fansubs is to see if you like a show enough to buy the DVD. you watch it once for free and if you like it buy the box set. Sure some people abuse it but I don’t see why the companies are so uptight about it…

    BTW, when the asistant guy shows us the book of eibon’s blueprint’s there’s something written on it in English. “I lived a life of faith and now you’re reaping the rewards. by Joel” WTF mate?
