no it can’t be true great mazinger is suposed to appear in the end to help mazinger-z . what happened here? i know mazinger is defeated in the end of the series but not like that . mazinkaiser anyone?
O.K. the guy who made this Mazinger series should be ashame of himself to ruin a great original series. In epi 1 we see the glims of the beggining battle of the General Dark vs Mazinger. What happend? did the producer forget this, and by seeing this 26 poor writen story, I hope if there is a 2nd season, a new producer is given the project, this was way too painfull to watch. I will keep the hope that a better Mazin series will come.
Wow Alfred, can you be any more nutso? Episode 1 gave you exactly what happened before and After (Ankoku appears, Kouji tries God Punch, Ankoku knocks him onto the ground as seen here, Ankoku does his “Roflpwned” slash, Mazinger comes out a heap as in Episode 2).
And at least this is better written than 99% of anime out there. Fact.
Sorry Katoma, but I have followed Mazinger since I was a kid, and if you grew-up with Mazin and Great Mazin, you would be upset on how this style of anime with story just done horrible. Remember, in the 1st epi, the twins got killed, and in epi 26, is like nothing happen. I can follow the idea of the producer, but I don’t think young kids would like it, like how it was in the 70’s with the original Mazinger.
Agree with Alfred. I think the plot can be work in many ways and remembering the firt series, damn, this eposode is too fantasy. Mazinger is a machine, a robot, please, make some details of technology like in evangelion or robotech. In this mazin saga, every part of technology changed with magic. Is a puch inside every robot, but when this happen? surprise? i hate that kind of surprises. I write Science Fiction, and one of the Asimov rules is that the spectator most know every thing, every thing, this is not Scherlock Holmes please, is easy to trick the kids with hidden facts. Show every thing and play with their memory. Make them remember in the most scary part, make them rememeber the hidden power. This really change too much, and the song dont fix with the character, really. Sorry guys is my opinion about this chapter and saga. But im happy to know mazin saga will continue with ohter producer.

Hmm Mazingkaser was then ending to the original mazinger z series in the 80’s this one is a totally different version. Like other series tenchi, getta robot, or sakura…etc.

They reuse all the chracters every time, wow. And retold the same story but with new gatjets. I was thinking very serious abaout this new mazinsaga, and if they want to change something, they will do some thing like, Mazinger being defeated and Greate Mazinger apears, with the ghost of Tetsuya, Tetsuya in this saga is a kind of Grudge, a ghost.
Now this get complicated here, but, here I go. The will of Koji is very powerful, and its transmited to the robot, thats why mazinger is so powerful thanks to the pilots will. Tetsuya is a ghost, and it will transmit his ghost powers to the great mazinger. Then the fantastic ending, Mazinger z and Great Mazinger are defeated, and transforms into Mazinkizer, then you have, Kabuto as a human pilot, and tetsuya as a grudge ghost pilot. They form that deamon monster called Mazinkizer. That cam sell a lot of comic books or kill the character for ever, so be careful with your story line and the plot.

In case anyone is feeling super confused, go back and see the first few minutes of Episode 1 and the first few minutes of Episode 2. That will show you the conclusion of the series.
This was meant to be a retelling of the Mazinger Z series but it was never meant to be exactly the same. I’d have to give it almost 5 out of 5 stars.
