O_o Great Mazinger appears already… anyhow this seems to be an alternate version of the 2nd half of Mazinger Z with an upgraded design setup. Brok(k?)en and Asura are gone, Ankoku Daishogun is running around, Dr Hell is still around though, and Gorgon’s alive.
Overall: I LIKEY EVEN THOUGH I CAN”T UNDERSTAND O_O.

I agree. What just happened? Never mind. I’ll see if the 2nd ep will tell me. So far this seems to run like a Gintama episode. But there were a few funny moments, like ‘breast fire’ power.
There are other mechs that do that, they just don’t call it that. ^_^ Caught me off guard. Funny. See what powers will pop out next ep.

Breast Fire has been that move’s names for ages. This is a remake of Mazinger Z it seems with a completely rewritten end (seems here, Brocken and Ashura see to live the end…). Go Nagai always had a bit of sillyness in his Female “Mazinger” designs (Venus, Aphrodite, Million Alpha), mostly relating to Breast Missiles or Breast Cockpits XD.
Anyhow looks like they took small pieces from what would be the final 3 episodes. Because Ankoku Daishogun appearing would be the very End, Great Mazinger and “Blade” (Aka Tetsuya) would appear at the last few minutes to save Mazinger Z. Wonder what happened with Zeus though. But thanks to the skipping, you can tell they only showed pieces of the last 2-3 epis.
this rocks finaly a re-make of my childhood hero mazinger-z in puerto rico was aired al the eoisodes without cutting any scene oh yeah finaly yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

i doubt its an exact remake.
While the premise is similar to the original TV show, the staff insist that it is not a remake or sequel and that it will develop into an all-new story, as seen in the cast of characters which features many new faces.
