    If you’re going to post lame comments in English under good anime, at least write properly. Otherwise use your native tongue.
    On second thoughts, I suppose you haven’t got the brain power!

    The storyline is getting a bit convoluted now. Seems as if everything in Atlas is focusing on Kuniko and her mother.
    Why do most of the characters have a first name ending in “ko”?

    “ko”is子in japanese kanji. Usually put “ko” at the end of the female name. In this case, “ko” means tiny or cute(kawaii) things. But from other point of view, I guess main characters’name have double meanings, because long long ago,”ko” also means “child of gods”.

    nagi-ko: kuniko’s mother. nagi is凪. This kanji means the calm
    sea or harmony. Her name sounds like “child of marine gods”.

    kuni-ko:kuni means”country”. And her name is written in old kanji（國 ）not in modern form. The fact gives me special feelings. The female child of the country….princess?

    kuni-hito: In his name, kanji does not directly mean, but the pronounciatlion Kuni=country, hito=person. In addition, his last name Kusanagi is “the sward of the god”. To me, his name sounds like emperor or governer. Prince?

    Mi-kuni: Mi(美)=beautiful, kuni=country. Also in her name,”kuni”is written in a old like kuniko, but has different meaning. Her kanji 邦　means “the united nations”. Sounds like the symbol of something spcial.
