i wish they did a dynasty warriors or samurai warriors show cause i enjoy them more and their characters appearance and attitudes and far better then basaras.
Dynasty Warriors = Historical people + Magic.
Samurai Warriors = Historical people + Magic.
Devil Kings = Historical people + Insanity + WTF + Bullshit + Explosions.
Its like the Gainax version of History. Much much more interesting than DW or SW.
Now that I’ve watched the second episode of this series, it seems a lot better than the first one. Tomoe’s character had the courage to defeat that huge disgusting toad. There were a lot of sacrifices however i feel that this series won’t just be about boobs and bare butts.

Oh yes now back to this anime. I really love it, I don’t know why I just do. Now can someone please explain to me why blue guy with yellow moon on head and red sash around his head guy are always fighting it each other? They really seem to enjoy it too!! And what is this awesome power that they have that seems to literally blow people away? Also, big red puffy thing on head guy with horns, is I think a pretty powerful fighter. Can someone please tell me why everyone is so intent on killing each other? Is it over territory? Over an insult? Just because they freaking like fighting? I know these are a lot of questions, but I’d really appreciate an answer.

Alice1861, the guy with the red sash (AKA Sanada Yukimura) and the guy with the eyepatch and cresent moon helmet (AKA Date Masamune) are considered powerful warriors in this, they’ve found there equal, like Shingen and Kenshin. Lord knows why they’re doing as that, as far as i’m aware Yukimura and Masamune never met in history.
I’m sure the guy in this with the red horns is Takeda Shingen, but he has a different name :S.
The reason why they’re all fighting…
Its the sengoku era of Japan, near enough every diamyo of the east started fighting for power once Oda Nobunaga taken Kyoto and exiled the Shogun Ashikage.

I hate how they make out Nobunaga is a demon in every anime, game, book and blah blah blah. But UGH.
hey MR.Cooler than me…(yeah right) Dynasty Warriors is not historical by any means. Since its all loosely based off a novel known as Romance of The Three Kingdoms. As For Samurai Warriors, that stuff really happened. Maybe not all of it, cause not everything makes a good game. Either way, Nobunaga Oda is an ass to anyone who cares to know. It was his style of fighting that commands respect, but it also leads the top retainer Mitsuhide Akechi(he’s a noble ‘very loyal’, but also rightous and sees His lord’s tactics as inhumane) to betray his ass since its very violent to the people, though he loses obviously to good(lol) Ol’ Oda in the end, Oda commits Seppoku(japanese Samurai Suicide)(& SP?) due to the betrayal besides. Simply people Nobunaga Oda could be a good guy, but his ways of doing things are something of a two way street, and calling himself a Demon (seriously. WTF!?) usually makes the greatest of war-time strategy evil, since gunpowder and stupid peasants on a battlefield don’t mix. Besides the point he kills just about any group of people who get in his way too much, like the Saika (a bunch of Rifle-weilding mercanaries) and he kills them all, women and children Fighters, and civilian…kinda like a genocide O_O….. Ok yeah I’m with Making Oda Evil all the way :/

I think this is really interesting. Historical, yes. Comical, definitely. I laughed my ass off at the part when the 3 Yoshimoto’s came in and there was that random “Shit!” from Date. Oh, and the Latin chanting for Oda is really fitting…

well, the sole reason that Date Masamune speaks english in this anime and the game is due to that his historical records states that he welcomes western influences and also promoted external trade among Japan and other countries through sea and also expanded on economical and commercial structures during his rule… well, just that in animes and mangas and games, it tends to be over exaggerated… as usual….
but heck, lets just enjoy the show~

As a person who loves the historic events of the sengoku period and the Video games based on it I aprove of this anime and Oda ya he is 73h 4w$0m3
Hmm… they still get Nobunaga’s self-styled title wrong in the translation –
“Dairokutenmaou” == “The Demon Lord of the Sixth Heaven.”
You’d have to look up some Buddhist literature to see what the “6th heaven” actually is according to them, but that’s essentially what he’s referencing. I believe it’s supposed to be the heaven realm of “free transformation” or something like that.

The reason Nobunaga is made out to be a demon is because of hos he introduced muskets in to warfare against the Takeda – the end symbolic of the Samurai era, so to speak.
