Just started reading this manga, really glad that they made it into anime!
This had my attention from the first few minutes. It would have been fine without all the boob and butt shots for goodness sakes. And why is there always a sweet innocent boy constantly either being felt up or being forced to feel some girl up. Didn’t they think this anime could of made it on its own merits without adding the other stuff?
read the manga then watch the anime. The Anime is great convert from manga to anime thus far in my opinon.
Cant wait for subs, i was starting to run out of anime (yes, i am anime freek/geek as most say)

I didn’t see the connection between the opening of the anime, which was kind of scary sakura_healer, and the rest. Maybe once it’s subbed I’ll understand what the heck was actually going on.

the opening is from exerts later in the episodes. I recogize some of the points from fights. This Anime is using actually footage from the anime for its opening.
The opening is from a episode later o in the manga. Somewhere in the episode 30-40 I beleive in the Manga. The Woman holding the child has signification with the main female character. Then also with the woman that had killed the wall of men later on.

Really, poor comic copy of “Elfen Lied” and “to love Ru”! Even the start is a complete copy! and like these both, the boy doesn’t have any special power except his determination! I think they can sue the writer for stealing ideas!

I like romances as much as the next girl, but there’s a huge difference between romance and sex just for the sake of sex. Come on! At least make it sweet and lead up to it in a really tasteful way. And another thing what is it with the boys always getting nosebleeds whenever they see a girl’s boobs or butt? I mean does this really happen? Sorry, I don’t much about stuff like that, so I’d really like an answer from someone.

So much fan service!!! Make the too much. It seems to be a similar concept to Fate Stay Night so it will probably be all right but they could really cut back on the boob and ass shots. Some is perfectly fine, but there need to be limits otherwise it will get in the way of the story and action.

@person, You can find it either by searching veoh.com or got to ifyouwas.com. I’m fairly sure they have that anime available. I’m actually fairly suprised this site doesn’t have it.
Fate stay night is essentially the same concept as this, guy meets wierd girl who fights other wierd people and becomes her partner in a competition. Fate Stay Night is much less ecchi than Sekirei though. Where this anime is an ecchi action comedy, Fate Stay Night is a fairly serious action rommance.

call me an anime freak, but i finished ‘fate stay night’ already. it was really good, but the ending was so sad. i hate animes that end too quickly and have sad endings, but for that one, i cant say i hate it…*sniff*…it was so SAD! *cry*. Thanks alot, hmmm

The male lead will probally never get “special powers” other then the fact that he attracts all unwinged Sekirei in a 20 mile radius xP. And as a side note when Musubi eats it must all go to her breasts lol. But yeah the opening is going chronological rather then via manga since it showed 08 and 04 breaking out of the facility with no 88. Glad I read the manga first or else it would have been a bit of a spoiler.

here are my criticisms
main theme: it would seem as though they just threw all the crap they could get their hands on. “let’s make a dogfighting anime(a fight between planes is often called a dogfight) add some err.. witches!!!!
ecchi/fanservice: it’s almost as thought they made this their central theme. If you want fanservice, you should not make it look so purposeful. Also, they add that all too common ears and tails thing, because, u know, everyone’s into bestiality.
Underlying themes: somewhat redundant. I know the girl wants to see her dad, they don’t have to bring that up so much. and her pacifism, their enemy is the aggressor, it’s not like fighting them is any option. I’m also willing to bet that her pacifism is more likely to be broken by being inspired by the other strike witches or whatever they’re called rather than hatred for the enemies.
After further looking into this it would seem as thought this episode is completely unrelated to the rest of the anime or the whole of the manga series, or at least out of place.

actually, it seems that this is not sekirei at all but something completely else that they replaced the unsubbed anime with. whoever updated this fucked up.
