Top notch anime. Gotta love the series that remind you what originally was so engaging about these Japanese stories. Too few narratives these days unflinchingly let the plot play out naturally like this one does. We lose Cal and McCunnen in the space of two episodes. Really only the early episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist in recent memory (and to a lesser extent) achieve the sort of precarious balance we have going on here with the ability to simultaneously inspire affection for characters, even when their deaths are imminent and inevitable for the progression of the story and the maintenance of the drama the series has painstakingly cultivated. I hope that Cal’s appearance in the commercial break graphic this episode isn’t an indication of her return, but is, rather, a tribute. Her resurrection would disrupt the building tension. This is most definitely the best all-around anime which is currently running. Sure to be a classic, and you miss it at your own risk!

I enjoy this anime thoroughly but it’s way too predictable…C’mon now Scythe trains Cal as Phantom #3 or in German “Drei”…I found this anime fascinating at first but it’s definitely going downhill now…grrrrrrr.
its not really getting that predictable i didnt think claudia would die but she did unlike the ova and sure scythe is gona try cal and manipulate her to fight against reiji but theirs still alot of twists this anime could take since its already different then the ova and the game has various different endings as well sad to see claudia die she was bout the only one in that anime that was nice to look at lol.
About freakin’ time that someone killed Claudia…can’t stand that manipulative b*tch >.>
But super glad to see that Ein and Zwei are together now and seems like Cal is alive too. xD

henny. its definately not 2 predictable….and if you find it predictable compare it to any other anime-u can easily read them like books these days.. so i guess you expected lizzie to kill claudia, or cal to die. or did you just wikipedia it. u dont know if lizzie helped stage claus death or if cal really did die.(but i kno she didnt). the anime is not afraid to pick your heart up in one episode and then shatter it the next which makes it different if not better than most shows you see these days.

This ep was amazing, even though i know the whole story it still pulls at my heart strings. This is and will always be my fav show and I am so happy to see the original story not made a mockery of like they did in the OVA, while I still enjoyed that tribute, this is what I wanted to see!
