I doubt there will be a second season. Then again Gundam 00 is getting a second run! This by far one of Sinsei’s Shōji Kawamori’s finest work! I’m going to go outside and watch all the episodes again while smoking a nice Cuban cigar!!!

I HIGHLY doubt that they are going to cover the robotech masters or the inbit choshits, this is MACROSS not ROBOTECH.

Homage Galore!
1. Sheryl and Ranka singing on the bridge is exactly that of Minmei during Space War I.
2. Alto’s VF rising out of the bay on an elevator is exactly that of Hikari’s in the opening of the original Macross.
3. Macross Quarter landing in the water is also reminiscent of the great SDF-1 at the end of Space War I, although the latter suffered far more damage.
4. Vajra unilaterally at the Earth fleet is similar to the Zentraedi firing at Macross and the Earth.
5. During Space War I at least half of the Zentraedi turned against Dolza, just like the Vajra.
6. Of course, Macross fans would know the Daedalus Attack!
7. Like all Macross series, there will not be a sequel. But likely a movie or OVA.
hm, I dunno, I actually think there will be a second season, this episode gave a few more questions than it answered, I actually doubt Grace is permanatly dead, she has had the annoying tendancy to come back from the dead, first when she set off the bomb way back near the start of mf, and then Leon’s trap where she got a little… creepier.
also the facts behind macross Zero haven’t been completly answered as far as i can tell, AND we just got a tidbit that SOMEONE knows what happened to the megaroad-01 (SDF-2)(SMS company owner.) so I’d say that’s a pretty darn good reason for a second season. (and on top of that there are some background things that haven’t been dealt with in the Macross continuaty that should have an resolution, the anti-UN conflict for example.)as well as that one macross fleet that we saw midway through this episode…

Animefan, I’m basing my prediction on past experience with Macross. I’m quite sure Grace will survive to appear in the upcoming movie, if it is continuing the story from the series. What elements of Macross Zero need more clarification now that the Birdman is officially the Vajra queen?
Howeve3r, being a fan since Macross appeared and first aired in Asia in the early 80s, I would love to see a sequel. But I can guess it probably will not happen. Let’s pray I am wrong.
ah, I didn’t pick that up without the subs XP I was think that if they HAD dealt fully with it they would have shown a old broken down VF-0 sitting somewhere or somthing like that, my bad -_-;
and also since the other macross TV show ran a lot longer to and the trend of anime these days is to break it into different season (which for some reason are indicated by a different title than the season before it…)but yeah, they probably could deal with all that (… well most of what I listed, I think the anti-UN conflict (if they ever decide to deal with it with this show,)would probably take more than a movie…) with just a movie I’d be able to accept that… i suppose.

That was quite possibly the gayest anime series I’ve ever watched. I can’t believe I sat through the entire thing. All that cheesy singing made me wanna skinny dip in a vat of acid.

Oh man I got a bit worried at the end of ep. 24 this was starting to feel a bit to much like End of Evengelion… not that I don’t like Eva, but just seeing that left me at the brink of insanity, so thankfully I’m spared that experience. Again. Anyway, very good ending, plenty of answers, and even more questions, just the way I like it.

Yeah a very good ending and yes alot of show are ending this week which is kinda sad but yeah I actually like the songs in the battle but characters shouldn’t acually sing it I find but yeah another Awesome Anime comes to a close.

The CORRECT ending was,
Vijra Queen , destroys earth – and Alot barely saves Ranka , and Sheryl dies in battle –
And Some how Alto does a fold and escapes into season 2
