I love this anime. I really enjoy listening to the music from it too. Anyone able to recommend some other good anime music along this same style. It is really great to listen to and helps me when I am working out. Any suggestions anyone?

Best music of any Macross series is from Macross Plus. Best music from any anime series, period: Cowboy Bebop. Second best: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, both from the series and the movie, Solid State Society.
Cash, it seems you’ve just named the composer Yoko Kanno. She wrote some, if not all, of the songs in Macross Plus and “Rise” from GitS, and also “Cowboy Blues” from Cowboy Bebop….. and currently all the songs in Macross Frontier.
BTW, I think Michel should at least had had a decent session with Klan before he died, too bad. I do hope Sheryl is going to die, not that I don’t like her, I just think it will make the ending that much more emotional.

Actually Dark, while Yoko composed a good deal of the music in Bebop, most of it was performed by a band called The Seatbelts. I know it’s a thin distinction, but sheet music is just a bunch of scribbles on a piece of paper until musicians give it life. Likewise, songs like Replica and Player off the GItS OST would not be half as good if not for the vocals of Olga Yakovleva. Credit where credit is due my friend.
Can’t believe I mentioned all those other series and spaced on Eureka 7. Some of the most upbeat music out there, but not in a bubble gum sort of way like a lot of J-pop music is. If you like alt-rock garage band stuff, Fooley Cooley (FLCL) is pretty good too.
Ranka was seriously getting on my nerves this ep. Millions of people are at risk, and she’s all whiney because Alto was snuggly with some other girl. You’d think after all the trauma she’s been through that she’d be a little tougher. This ep pretty much drove home the fact that Sheryl is a woman and Ranka is just a little girl playing Sing-a-long games. Best part of the ep: the dripping blood/flying torso scene… so completely wrong on so many levels.
Oh, and I totally forgot to mention the great homage to Cowboy Bebop at the end of the teaser for the next ep. “See you later Space Playboy.” Classic.
Oh No, they Killed Roy. It simlar to the orginal Robotech(Macross). In which they killed of one of the orginal charters. It not like how they have the main charters go all the way though the story like most anime. I love this series good ep.

Given that Samurai 7, like the classic western “Magnificent Seven” before it, is based on the Japanese tale “the seven samurai” in wich most of the ’seven’ die…why would that be a surprise?
bad would have been to keep more of them alive in a contrived happy ending. Something anime, at least the stuff I get to see, tends to be better at avoiding when compared to hollywood fare.

see micheal wouldnt had died if they didnt do the whole dramatic scene where one charact tell other character they like them or wants to get married right in the middle of a fight which 98% of the time ends with character A or B’s and some cases third wheel C’s untimely demise. that example is sarcastically shown tower of druaga:the aegis of uruk and so true

Yes a few ppl died…but even 3 of 4 Pilots survived as well as half of the tach-staff and the majority of the bad guys…
