I Dont need to know her Life Story. Its obvious she was a poor kid probably thrown away by her parents or they died, Whatever. She was struggling to live in Galaxy and then Grace picked her up. Probably did some things to her and blah blah. Ranka had her hole family and race blasted and massacred in codl blood just like that by those aliens. And she survived it all, If she could remember just think how fucked up you would be mentally. Poor thing, She never even does anything bad, she always tries her best and even though the things Sherly does, Etc Kiss Alto in front of her, STEAL Her songs and sing them, Be a complete bitch she still is nice to her and LIKES Her! Do you see how Sherly thinks of Ranka, She doesn’t even care about her dream and wish to be an idol, that Dream was inspired by Sherly and she doesn’t give a flying fuck anymore. Well supposedly Ai-kun goes missing next ep and Brera and Ranka go looking for him, so I imagine they’ll learn more about both him and Brera. Can’t believe they still haven’t posted a sub version yet seeing how GG has had theirs up since Friday. It’s a good ep, not great but good. If you hate Sheryl you’ll be all about this ep because she gets smacked hard by cruel life. And if you think the Quarter has a badass gun, just wait till you see what Battle Frontier is packing in the Macross Cannon department.

I just watched Macross Zero, the series. It had a shamaness who used sacred songs of protoculture. Her last name was “Nome”. She ended up going to space, and a man she was in love with, followed. Now, this might not have other connection to Sheryl than homage to the name, but then again.. we’ll see.
Oh, and her blood was special too, didn’t want people to find about it, since that led to certain dreadful events. “Grace” in Frontier series kept hiding Sheryl’s blood samples also…

I didn’t like Sheryl initially because she was so concieted and full of herself early in the series,but now that they showed us some of her backstory I understand why she is like that.Ranka maybe pure and honest and all,but Alto and Sheryl just seem to go better together thats all.Sheryl has a more humanlike nature and I think I could trust in that more than whatever Ranka is supposed to be.
