    what do you mean “anime” is getting “better and better”?!
    Macross is and was good to begin with. Macross is legendary! Ever since like 20 years ago or so… Macross is in a class of anime of its own.

    Macross has some of the best choreographed flying fight scenes with those valkyries (sp). Check out Macross Zero and watch the first episode. I’m glad the valkies didn’t change much from the past. they probably recycled some cg models from that show. but i’m just guessing what what i know.
    >I don’t like the way the valkie transformed into the human form in that space scene with the astroids. it seemed too gundam seedish and corny. but i love the valkie pilot armor that’s fully integrated with the valkie cockpit!

    Macross always began with some romantic love thing and then some crazy fight scene in the beginning. i bet there will be another love triangle in this one! that princess dude pilot and that galactic princess singer and that random girl with green hair. kudos to this site!

    I dont understand how people are already saying this anime is better than Gundam/Naruto when its only the first episode. I reckon its still too early to judge that its better, especially cuz its only just the first episode. But I must say that Macross Frontier looks like it will be a great anime so far, and i think it has the potential to be successful. The first episode is so similar to Gundam Seed tho, student hops into a mech without any experience and takes out the enemy trying to save someone. exactly like Kira when he hopped into Strike the first time. Im not enjoying Gundam 00, im hoping it’ll get better. Still, i think Macross Frontier is looking good so far, cant wait for the 2nd episode… why is it taking so long!? 2 weeks already.. >.

    Trust and believe anything that has the Macross title is better than Gundam and Naruto combined. The first Macross anime was created back in 1982 and it is still running strong to this day. Each release of a new Macross anime is better than the last. Not only does Macross deal with crazy love stories and some of the best flight combat in anime but most importantly Macross is about music.

    I can’t express how happy it is to finally be able see another episodic series of macross being made. It’s unbelievable. I have kept tabs on this remarkable title over the span of 15 years, since I was introduced to its world of combat mechas and concurrent flow of sweet and bitter romantic developments. The story will have to satiate my ardent fan-cravings because I expect no less from the MACROSS trademark. Even so, It’s going to be difficult but keeping an open mind while indulging in the show will be less destructive to my health. I am sure my emotion will go haywire and skyrocket away into an awful state of deep and dark abhorrence for MACROSS and all its abominable franchise if the Macross: the Last Frontier was to end in an unlikable way.

    just finished watching it… looks like it will be good. However… I have to argue with the people who say its like gundum seed. The character motivations are completely different, and I bet you that when the next episode comes out the guy who jumped in the valkerie is going to lose that fight, or if he wins it will be with help of an ace pilot. Unlike gundum, Macross doesn’t usually start out the protagonist as an ace pilot. But he’ll have plenty of heart.
