wow definitely some similarities shown between this anime and Gurren Lagann, sounds like the same voice actor as Simon also or close to it, then theres the similar handle-controlled system that just says Gurren Lagann, even the main character has some similarities to Simon, his hair is definitely similar to Simon’s.
Man i really like blassreiter but now gonzo is killing me with this.

omfg this ruined the manga they didn’t use same story and the 3D SUCKED the manga the main is much cooler and way more fist fighting figures, the maker of retarted ass pokemon would make a good manga into shit

I hope the fucker that ruined a anime with a great number of possiablitys burns in a hell fire that would make the devil cry in pity really I read the manga and it was the shit and the story line made alot more sense then this I cant beleave they ruined it so horriablely
oh boy… another mech anime with a insecure superhero-wannabe highschool protagonist. Dunno bout you guys but the animation style really doesn’t look all that great to me.

awesome anime, just got 2 questions:
1. Why doesn’t anybody notice that there’s blood on his clothes?
2. The ending Emi says he’s dead, wth?
kiinnddaaa corny. just kinda. otherwise visuals for a mech fighting thing are pretty awesomely clear. compare it to blassreiter where you can’t really catch any movements with your eyes to that one part where the protagonist mecha lifts from the gravel a lil and all that smoke rises up. character animation is pretty rare. for a first show i’d say 8.5/10
Wow, VERY different from the manga. Although, I like this change. Tho Koichi is still a little jerk and sore loser. I’d gladly accept help.. who cares if your weak? He needs a self-esteem boost.
mmmm its hard to put an oppinion down already for this anime.. need to watch some more eps to be sure. However; the artwork looks great on buildings, machines, enviroments etc…but the character design really doesn’t match that imho.. and how come the bad guys do look ‘relatively’ normal? why doesnt no one mention the blood? how come he goes from supergeek to superman in een instant? Personality disorder?
the action was good though and im curious how this is gonna develop. (ow and neo genensis anyone?)
I enjoyed this anime and the artwork was really great. I felt like I could actually reach out and touch it. I’m looking forward to see what happens next. Thanks for posting it.

This anime has some potential and hopefully wont die and be like most of the other mecha that comes on this site.
Wow..Seriously, This is totally different Then the manga For one this sucks and the manga owns and 2 the 3D animation is bad and they made it seem like a Cliche Mecha type so where as in the manga it is actually pretty unique. For anyone that doesn’t read manga but watches anime if you want a good example as to why to read manga this show definitely is one. If you read the manga, try not to laugh at the anime, it’s rude. Lol.

2) how come they totally ignore the blood which seeped through all his clothing , not like he was wearing *white* or anything

The manga for linebarrel is much much better than the show, even tho yajima died. Btw the pics at the ending, most of them came from the manga fyi haha. The manga seriously owns man those who are interested can go and check it out, it is called ‘Kurogane no Linebarrel’ i tink
The first ep is just too fast, they crammed too many things inside, the manga only revealed that he ‘died’ in book 3 or 4 i tink. Haha
Plus emi in the manga looks younger, she at least looks like kouichi’s age, but in the show, she kinda looks like she is in her twenties or thirties haha
I’ve not read the manga, so I can’t compare them. I can say that I don’t really like mecha anime (only 2 exceptions: Code Geass & Eureka 7). Though it has a lot of cliched elements in this first episode, there was enough in it to spark my interest. In my experience, most animes adapted from manga are waaayy different, so its usually not fair to campare them. Since so many people are making a fuss though, I’ll try to check out the manga while hoping the next few eps have enough originality in them to keep me watching.

ok i don’t like this anime some weak person who does what others commands go gets bread meets a girl and becomes the pilot of that giant thing this is already done and becomes boring after awhile its dumb!! Specially this one i just don’t like this anime.
