Youth is 若い(waKAI). Concilation is 和解(wakai…no accent).
I’m Japanese, but I haven’t noticed that wakai has two meanings until you told me.
Whenever we hear wakai, we can come up Kanji soon by hearing accent, so we don’t confuse.
