Hatsune Miku Virtual Idol to ‘Perform’ in Live Concert
Published by pmflood1 on August 23, 2009
It was discovered recently that Hatsune Miku would be on the list for the popular anime concert, Animelo Summer Live 2009 RE:Bridge, and that she would be performing live. For the last few weeks, everyone has been wondering, how?! As of now Animelo is a little over half over, and one chap was kind enough to share Miku’s perfomance, just yesterday.
Stay tuned till the end of the video, where we see one of the first looks at the Black Rock Shooter anime.
(Update: Aug 23)
The official website for Japan’s Animelo Summer Live 2009 Re:bridge concerts has announced on Friday that Hatsune Miku — a virtual singer whose voice is created by a software engine — will “perform” on-stage on August 22. The singer and actor Gackt will also perform on August 23. Hatsune’s image was created by an artist named Kei, and her voice was provided by YAMAHA Corporation’s Vocaloid 2 engine using samples from voice actress Saki Fujita.

Animelo Summer Live is an annual series of concerts for anime songs; it has been running since 2005. The event organizers have not explained how Hatsune will make her appearance.

im scared o god
wow, wonder how theyre gonna do everything o.O
LOL i bet they’re going to have some jap girl lip sing or they’re going to have to pull off a hologram that can dance and do all that crap lol. its gunna be a dark room with alot of lights and 1 holographic singing girl
I think the only real way to explain this is OMGWTFBBQ!!
Seriously, it’s awesome.
Seriously, it’s freaky…
Seriously… too much.
Here’s what’s going to happen: The singer AI becomes sentient, and takes control of the Gundam robot statue, activates it’s weapons(turning head and steam rising from vents) and so Earth/Tokyo comes under horrible threat, and their courageous self defence force pilots have to swoop down and do battle between the city’s skyscrapers. Yet, they almost fail, until the real singer behind the AI one’s voice manages to override it’s hypnotic nefariousness at the nick of time!
What, don’t believe me? It already happened, watch out a documentary series named Macross Plus if you want proof!
“her” music is great but the virtul singer is a bit much
I’m a little curious to hear a song from this virtual singer. Crazy how far we’ve come since the day’s of Apple’s MacInTalk, eh?
I was there! and i saw almost ONLY guys D8 it was sick!
Wow thats kinda wack
She rocks xD thats all you have to say about her xD
what was the anime at the end?
I love Miku Hatsune, but this is fucking retarded…
This is just — – — too much!
MIKU <3333333 @@@@@@
““her” music is great but the virtul singer is a bit much”
Thing is though, nothing about her is real, she is fully virtual, both voice and body. I think eventually they want to give such a virtual girl the ability to think and feel for herself.
It’s nearing full realization of S1mone. One day, Miku will take over politics too! :X
Woah, cool! I KNEW this kind of thing would happen, but it’s a bit awkward so I gave up thinking further. Well, it’s nice! Crypton needs money, too and there might be new songs released. So… Overall, it’s cool. Ones the technology improved, haah~ That ending wuz epic~
loooool.
very cute <3
i want to visit a hatsune miku concert too! XDDD
Just to let you guys know. Japanese people don’t like to be called Japs. There was a event in the past just like the holocaust to jewish people, that happened to Japanese people. They were called Japs then. Calling them Japs is a very big insult, it’s just like saying the’re inferior.
