Help me, people! I know that Gundam is a very big serie with lots of seasons, but I also know that not all of them are connected and that the characters and stories are different. So is it enough to watch Gundam 00 first season to understand everything? I want to give it a try but I am not sure….

I don’t think that’s Lock-on though I wish it were. No, I strongly believe that is his Twin Brother, Lyle Delandi. This should be interesting… although I’m still hoping the Lock-on we all know and miss is still alive and makes a reappearance.

Lockon Stratos is a code name, so basically he was revived. However Neil is dead, Lyle is his twin brother, which will take over the codename Lockon Stratos.

actually, being able to identify or connect closely with characters and being able to bridge gaps to make characters more realistic in an emotional and resonating sense are what make writers great. However, aside from that digression, and ignoring your rude supposition of gender, I would also like to disagree with you on the grounds of death. If you have watched Gundam, you would understand characters have an interesting way of surviving. Especially, if you’ve watched any of Gundam Seed. I speak for myself and others when I say, the only time you can be sure anyone is dead in a Gundam Series is if you see them actually dying; not their gundam or mobile suit exploding, not seeing what we think is their death only moments before the camera pans on something else and certainly not when we see an explosion without seeing the pilot himself/herself being ripped to shreds. Albeit, you may be right and he may have died, but until they prove that with the last episode of this current arch, I will retain my suspicion that the original Lockon Statos is still alive.

Its been CONFIRMED by both the producers and the chibi trailer that the Lockon WE know is dead. Gone. Forever. This Lockon is a different person, it could actually be a) a clone b) Lockon’s twin c) someone unrelated. My point is that the Lockon from last season is gone and we’ll have to see the history of this new guy and how other celestial being members interact with him

JCE16. Its ok for you to call me an idoit but guess what! writers is not spelled righters. And character connection is extremely important but so is death. If a character dies and you bring him back your defeating the entire purpose of killing him. THe original emotions felt when that character dies become a cheap trick. So like i said. Getting attached to a character and hoping for the show to work out in their favor is stupid. I mean if Code Geass or Death Note ended without heroic death the shows would have sucked. Get my drift. So your the idoit!

The answer is No. As someone above me has stated, Neil Dylandi is DEAD. Gone. Pooof. He lives in our hearts =D The producers though put in his brother, Lyle Dylandi, he will take over as Lockon Stratos, because thats the codename.

Lyle is Lockon’s brother. That’s confirmed and that’s why he’s in the new intro. That much is obvious. I’m still curious as to what the producers say that convinces everyone the other (Neil) is dead. if anyone has a link to that, i’d like to read it. dead or not, Lyle will never be Neil. I just hope he’s as interesting. Neil was a leader, a caring character, and a friend to everyone (on the ship). He was the soul of the Meisters as much as Setsuna was the Heart, Tieria was the brain and Kyrios was the Rage or demon.
Just because Lyle is his twin, only means they look identical. For all we know, Lyle could go through the second season making constant mistakes as a new meister and have absolutely none of the character qualities we liked in the first Lockon. Here’s hoping i’m wrong or at least that Lyle is halfway as cool as his (arguably) deceased twin brother.
Nevertheless, i’m excited about the load of content heading our way. Louise is nuts, Saji is going though an emotional breakdown, Kyrios is in a nut house and I am extremely curious whether that is the innocent Kyrios or if it’s his darker blood thirsty self. and let’s not forget he now knows the identity of the pink mobile suit. Who knows what kind of psychological drama that will unfold for him. The Throne girl will be interesting to see and I guess we’ll be seeing more of the developing romance between setsuna and that princess woman.
