   and Gintoki is just the coolest character ever, I’m glad We finally got a glance at his childhood

   anyone else fails to take Hattori’s lines seriouly or is it just me?
   I mean, every time I see him I think about his hemorroids and the ”hospital incident” with Sacchan

   I suspect you might be onto something there. This is nearly a tribute arc to that series!
   Particularly the since Kenshin did fight someone horribly burned as well (I know he was the second Manslayer, but i can’t remember his name as all!)

    Makoto Shishi-Oh. Kamui was also a nod towards him when he first appeared in mummy form.

    Yeah, Hattori was just Mr. Exposition in this arc and we never got to see him save that mother from the bandits. This arc wasn’t quite as epic as Benizakura and Yoshiwara Is Burning but I was more enthralled with it than anything in Bleach.

    Tsukuyo is going to a recurring character so Gin will get more chances on Puff-Puff action.

    “Love this anime!”, saying that always makes me laugh a bit because I despised Gintama the first time I watched it, but for some reason I plowed though the first few awkward episodes and I’m really glad I did.

    From the previews it looks like Gin-san is getting more than a little Puff-Puff action for saving the day. ><
