So was there anyone there or was Hoenheim or however you spell his name battling his inner demons? It was obviously a flashback episode, but I really enjoyed it. It touched on things I’d almost forgotten, so it was kind of a refresher for me. The part that always gets me is when Ed forces his way back through the gateway to tell Alphonse he’ll be back for him. It was just as powerful this time as the last time. Thanks so much for posting the raw!!!

I’m not too happy about a recap episode, but I don’t know how much they’re showing of Hoho filler so I can’t say I hate it. it kind of slows down the pace - but isn’t this what you guys wanted? it also adds suspense to what will happen in the next episode.
anyway, I thought the new opening was quite a mindfuck. really enjoyed it. ending was boring, but like the first anime, there was an ending focusing on just pictures of Winry, so I liked the connection. Winry’s so much better in the manga/Brotherhood version anyway.
Bah filler episode.
But the good thing is that the next episode will be great!

Good episode. Although it didnt really advance the plot. I liked it.
They were going really fast before but now it seems they decided to slow down and build on the characters.

waste of time! i wanted to see if ed and ling got back easily and i wanted to see the creator! but these animators wanna do a flashback episode…. i hate flashbacks!
Just a question: Anyone else notice on the gate, when Ed was shouting back to Al that he’ll return, that the name ‘Adonai’ is written in the circle on the gate where ed is (lowest circle on the gate)? Adonai is one of the Hebrew names for God.
The gate has a name of God on it.

Hey this filler is way better than naruto/bleaches crap. This filler actually provides a base for hohenheim’s character and plot.
the last part of this recap was very touching…and its true..a human’s greatest strength is that they struggle and strive. this was the best recap ive seen an anime present. was totally worth watching.
I agree 100% with Kon. When it became clear that this was a filler episode I was disappointed. However, as far as filler episodes go this was pretty good. It did a good job recapping and showing a bit about Hoenheim and his wife (stuff that I apparently didn’t remember from the manga, if it was present at all). The end was rather touching, actually.
I’m actually glade they showed this recap episode, but most won’t because they’re idiots. >_>

The song is called Let It Out. Its FMA Brotherhood 2nd Ending, didn’t you know?
that song fit in perfectly with alot of the FMAB endings like when Winry decided not to shoot Scar and she started cry she Let out all her emotions and started crying and the song Let it Out started playing
im not saying the ep was shit but it wasnt that great either yea we learned about hoho but more than half the ep was stuff we already saw and to the dude talking about ppl getting cancer u can have a brain that works fine and still hate a filler
I I guess they will be posting more than 26 episodes on this website. This is 1 of the best filler recap episodes I ever seen. But they still need to make a filler arc or 2 maybe about 60 episodes long to progress the manga further. I heard there is about 20 chapters left in the FMA manga. It will take 3 years from now to conclude. This anime will be concluded way before the manga will. I hate to say but this anime series is going to end up like the original series with a filler arc end.

“Your all going to die” is fking retarded nobody likes fillers if they had payed attention to all the episodes like most of us because we already know what happened. and this whole episode is that Fullmetals’ dad is coming back….but it doesnt have to take the whole dam 24 minutes.

Like an above poster said, when I found out it was a filler I was disappointed but as it progressed it was very touching. The part where Ed breaks through the door and promises Ed he will return.. that was epic, even the second time. (also very confusing- Could someone please explain a bit?)
The little girl that wanted to dance with “hoho”, was that his wife (Obviously when she grows up) Because it seemed like she aged into that image

YES! the let it out song totally fit in with the endings. super dee duper nice song. anyways, i find the part where ed push open the gate again really touching. ohh. pinako was quite pretty somehow. but i just wonder how on earth can she shrink so much.

Awesome filler! cant believe i said that. The way they set up the filler is done so so well it’s actually worth being an episode instead of a recap heh.
“Father” is the first Hulmunculous to be born in this world. Originally he was a small tiny humunculous in a “Flask”. He was hohorenhiem pet or more like a friend when hoho was a little kid. Hoho was a slave in the kingdom of Xerxese(sorry for the spelling) which disappeared in one night. Hoho never had a name just a number to Identify him. Then Father gave hoho a name and call him Van Hohorenhiem. Want to know anymore about father read the manga.

its simple, i dont know the relationship between hono and “father” but they look exactly alike. could be something regarding the philosepher stone in the past. the thing in xerxes. if this is a filler, a great one, better a filler with some relation to the story than a useless one that has no regard
This episode is indeed a filler/recap or whatever you may call it yes. But it also has a sneak peak of ‘Father’, who appears to be the evil Hohenheim in the dream. ‘Father’ and Hohenheim are not the same. There will be an episode that explains how they both came to be, so stay tuned until then.

… Recap episodes at the -beginning- of a new season is for the fact that they expect a bit of time to pass between the end of one season and the beginning of the next. Thus reminding you of what happened last season.
