Awesome episode!! Did Armstrong not tell the boys that Hughes was dead? I heard him say Hughes’ name, but there was no big reaction from the poor little guys.
I wonder who that big blond haired big guy in the throne like chair was? I don’t remember a character like him in the old one, then again it’s been a while since I’e watched the old ones.
I loved that once again Armstrong had to take off his shirt to fight. He so doggone cute!!

well the guy in the trone is a guy that looks like ed and al’s father if you read the manga you’ll find a lot of stuff related to the guy in the trone and finally ill get to see the prince and the panda girl fron the other country

@cehatro: that’s enough fighting(meh, I do this LOT at school) and I think it might best just not spoil things. I got a little bit of the FMA mamga spoiled for me and I didn’t like that(the endings of the old anime and code geass), so at least warn people when you say even a minor spoiler.Thanks

I can’t wait for Mei-chan(she’s in the preview) to come into the story.The problem is, is that the first place she ends up is the yoshwell mines or something from chapter 3, but since they skipped that episode, people new to FMA wont know who Yoki is,Mei can’t meet, help and learn about Edward from the mine’s people,taking away some funny scenes, making it so you can’t see her do er Alchemy which is different form everyone else’s and Envy can’t trick her into helping him when she passes through the town and Envy “mentions” how nice and genoruos they are.

to rav3r916 pride is not the elric brothers father you’ll know who is pride later on in the anime and wrath is really king bradly and fir nietherworld i want to see mei chan and lin yao so excited to see the character from the xing country

@ sereno: Its probably some sort of fire that was created with the ability to kill the humoculi. As greed said “Fires of Hell”. Yes that is the brother’s father. I like this season, it shows more of Bradley than we saw in the last one.
……the first anime’s story is so much better. I’m really disappointed, I’m glad I didn’t read the manga, if this anime is actually following it.

So wait, I know this is supposed to follow a different story than the first anime, but the homonculi’s identities changed completely? In the original Bradley was Pride, but now he’s Envy? And in the original, Sloth was Ed and Al’s mother, but in this it’s a currently unidentified male?
Woops, typo, I meant Wrath not Envy.
@Sereno: Killing the homuculi by creating the “sealing a homuculus” circle and having the remains was the first anime…because the anime was evolving faster than the manga…that is the way they made to kill a homunculus so they could finish the anime and not have it wait until more manga chapters came out. But like wrath said as he was fighting greed “how many time do i have to kill you for you to stay dead” you will understand later…but right now all i can say is that you have to kill them quite a few times because of something, in order to kill kill them. The other thing is and you will have to know this, they don’t say it…the homunculus in the manga are not people who alchemists tried to bring back through human transmutation. again you will learn later how they came to be. Pride was Bradley in the original series, but that was false from the start. In the manga, Bradley was known as Wrath. Pride will be introduced later on, and I won’t reveal who that is. Ed and Al’s mother known as Sloth was basically a filler character they made up in the first anime series; this goes the same for Izumi’s child who took the name Wrath. Sloth was originally a name given to the bulky male homunculi which will also be revealed later(although this episode did give out a sneak peek). All the other characters like Greed, Lust, Envy, and Gluttony are the same.

When ed and al’s father where around 20 years he met a man in a bottle, called himself homunculus.
he and hoenheim became friends and later homunculus created philosohers stone out of Xerxes.
Homunculus got the same body like hoenheim and hoenheim became immortal.
And so homunculus created 7 other, Lust,Gluttony, Envy,wrath, greed, sloth and pride.
i didnt see the other season but i’m sure i would have prefered this season… there is not a single boring episode and i got the feeling that in one epi of this anime the story of 2-3 episode of another anime is told..

To all that havent become aware this is the part in which the original made up there own story line in other words King Bradley=Wrath pride is someone else which will show later on and the big monster looking guy is sloth as shown in this episode
their really going to do the series based on the manga aren’t they? this is fantastic; i simply can’t wait to see the new greed in action.

And for those who’re wondering whether the one on the throne is Ed and Al’s father - maybe. We spend half the manga wondering, and it’s half the fun. Seriously, I think we’re all loving the anime so those who know the story, please try to stop yourself from posting major spoilers just to make yourself feel better for knowing more, and let the story unfold for those who don’t yet know. It’s like someone telling you everything that happens just before you start page 1. Just. Don’t. Do. It.
A curious thing of this episode is that it’s is the only episode so far where every of the seven homunculus make an apparition at a present time.
