If you hated the ending like i did, read the manga. The story branches off from the manga around the time greed is shown and goes in a completely different direction, changing the story completely.

Yes, the end is pretty lame, but it’s the same as Elfen Lied sucky ending too.
The manga changes there too, but still.
Look at how many movies have an end like this.

And btw, the ending was really crappy, but I’m glad I watched this anime, cause the story was pretty good, with the other dimension and stuff..

Its confirmed, in the latest Manga chapters the demand for another FMA anime was so huge that Bones has reaquired the rights for FMA and they are making another “season”. As to whether its gonna go off of the nearly finished Manga or the already finished plot of the anime, well have to wait an see.

FULL METAL ALCHEMIST will be makeing a other series that was decided october 7,2008 now they are making more because the old series was to shurt to called a series.This one will be far the greatest series they make el grows up to 15 and learns mad alchemy and ed finds the solution to reach el again witch he gets the wings!!!

for the record this is THE END of this series however started in late April 2009 I believe the new FMA series comes out that follows the storyline of the manga which is quite different with alot of weird twists, honostly i like the manga series more so i cant wait for the new FMA series
I dont know about a gay ending.. the story was superb and unique..so, the ending had to be unique too.. in result here it is. As for you(who don’t see the special ending) I dont know how to convince you of that the ending is special after all. Anyway..that’s just my opinion..beacause I really followed the plot, and the porpose of the series. PS:Full Metal Alchemist rules!;)
