This movie is as predicted…. SUCK! We all knew it from the start that the argument saying Goku is an alien and does not need to be Japanese, fail big time. This is almost exactly like Godzilla.
Leave the Japanese to do their manga, just throw them the money. When is Hollywood gonna wake up?
I do hope the Robotech movie project is gonna suck. Without Macross there is RT isn’t very much.

Fox has been blowing pretty badly recently, Street Fighter, Dragon Ball, they’re destroying my childhood. I didn’t look up who’s doing Tekken, but lets hope to god it’s Warner Bros or something and not Fox.
Oh, and if you’re wondering why Fox sucks it is because it’s a bunch of old men who read Superman when they were young. They were into non-Asian comic books during their childhood and probably don’t even know what manga/anime means. They have no idea what DB is about. The old white executives always come in and try to control all aspects of movie making to cut costs despite the fact that they have absolutely no idea what Dragon Ball is all about. It’s the same about Street Fighter. I remember the first movie where they made Ryu and Ken goofs. Well, in the game Ryu was a pretty dark character (almost like Batman). His whole life is about suppressing an inner darkness that pushes him to destroy everything around him, and at the end of the games he often walks away into the sunset to continue on his quest of suppressing his darkness (never really finds happiness). Making him a goof can’t be more contrary to the original game. (just more examples of how old guys screw up our childhood)
They need younger directors/producers that have a connection with this stuff to make these movies because the old farts don’t know what they’re doing.

OK, I just got finished watching the Dragonball Evolution movie and I think it was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The movie HARDLY even scrapped the essence that is Dragonball, and the movie directors should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. I do not believe that they did any research into the original story of Dragonball, and instead they just took the general idea of Goku, Piccolo and dragonballs and went off to a corner and made up their own story. First off, they NEVER EXPLAIN THAT GOKU IS FROM A DIFFERENT PLANET!!! They portrayed all of the characters wrong…I do believe that at the time Goku defeated King Piccolo HE WAS A LITTLE BOY!!! NOT A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT…HE NEVER EVEN WENT TO SCHOOL!!!!!!! BULMA IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BLUE HAIR, AND BE IN HER MID TEENS…NOT THE SAME AGE AS GOKU!!!! CHI CHI IS ALSO SUPPOSED TO BE A LITTLE GIRL AND SHE ISN’T SUPPOSED TO HAVE SOME BLACK BOYFRIEND…MASTER ROSHI IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN OLD BALD GUY WITH A BIG BEARD AND WEARING SUNGLASSES, NOT SOME MIDDLE AGED GUY…HIS FREAKING HOUSE IS SUPPOSED TO BE ON AN ISLAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF A CITY WITH A MOAT THING SURROUNDING IT!!! YAMCHA IS SUPPOSE3D TO HAVE BLACK HAIR, NOT BLONDE HAIR!!! GOKU IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE A TAIL!!!!!! WHEN HE TRANSFORMS HE IS SUPPOSED TO BECOME HUGE AND GO ON A CRAZY RAMPAGE…NOT TURN INTO SOME WEREWOLF LOOKING THING THAT OBEYS PICCOLO’S EVERY COMMAND!!!!!! SINCE WHEN CAN THE KAMEHAMEHA WAVE HEAL PEOPLE?!?!?!?!?! SINCE WHEN WAS THE KAMEHAMEHA WAVE AN AIR BENDING TECHNIQUE THAT COULD BE USED TO LIGHT CANDLES?!?!?!?!? SINCE WHEN WAS PICCOLO WEAK-ISH?!?!?!?!? GOKU DIDN’T FLY WHEN HE DEFEATED KING PICCOLO…HE USED THE KAMEHAMEHA WAVE TO PROPEL HIMSELF THROUGH THE AIR AND PUNCH A HOLE THROUGH HIM WITH HIS OWN BODY!!!!! THIS MOVIE WAS SO BAD I NEED TO GO RIP OUT MY EYES AND RUB SALT INTO THE EMPTY SOCKETS!!!! Yea, so in the end I would give Dragonball Evolution a -∞ out of 5. Oh and cloudstrife17307…you are definitely not a “hardcore db fan” if you liked this movie…sorry to burst ur bubble.

the movie totally sucked, but when goku transformed into an ape looking pokeymon reject i almost fell out of my chair laughing.
This is sad because I know what everyone is saying is true. This movie sucks giant ape balls, But because Im a fan Im gonna have to see it and be hurt. Just like when I found out lana lang from smallville played chun li in the street fighter movie. So disapointing. But a fan must do what a fan must do!
LOL…I couldn’t even finish the movie if you asked me. I didn’t even want to begin when “Goku” went to HS? Nobody knew his age and he didn’t either! This movie was whack! Goku suppose to have black hair, not light hair, BLACK hair! Same with Yamcha and he was uglier. Piccolo looked like a robot, not even alien, and he had a side-kick? Bulma’s hair wasn’t even blue and not bitchy enough. Also, Chi-Chi’s attitude was off. Master Roshi needed to be a lot older and pervier. Was Krillin even in there? I didn’t get to see the whole movie so oh well, the movie sucked ass! Who would’ve thought it really sucked this much! Oh yea, the cars? There wasn’t suppose to be any! It’s the future and they should have ships, not smart cars…LOL
By the way, I’m still dissappointed. The director sucks! The actors and actresses too! They should’ve done their research before playing the role.

I think it was titled; Dragonball ‘Evolution’ cause they took a well renowned & beloved Japanese Manga/Anime and forced it through the American Hollywood machine until it came out the other end evolved into a nice, neat, compact ball of mindless crap ready to be flushed down the throats of the typical movie going masses! How sad that this industry continues to peddle pure garbage, and at expensive ticket prices as well, all while their audience allows them to get away with it… film, after film, after film! Will they ever stop insulting the viewer’s sense of intelligence?! What’s the actual percentage of movies made these days, where we can walk away saying… wow, nice job… that was well worth my time and cash!!!! 1… 2… 3… maybe 5%???
SO here’s just another bad example of greed, incompetence, and indifference to the craft of story telling and entertainment… I’m sure this is/was intended to be marketed for preteens, and younger kids who of course most likely know nothing about the Dragonball series.
AS I learned long ago, it’s very rare to get something of quality and value, creatively and especially artistically, when money is involved… big business will always be primarily concerned with profit and the bottom line of their cost. And that will ultimately destroy imagination, inspiration, and innovation.

Ok I have to give this movie a shity rep the Japaneese don’t even like it, and Dragonball came from Japan. Then the series came to America where we all falled in love with it, and there try to pass this shit movie onto us Americans next. We not fucking stupid here if the people who orignated the source of the movie (Dragonball the animated series) say it bad, then there no way in hell any American would go see it in the right mind. It comes out April 10 in the USA, I dought on opening night it won’t even break $500,000 dollers,that is cheap considering then even bad movies, that might look good do about over $5 millions dollers on opeing night. So if you do go see this movie you are two things. 1. A fucking retard wasting your time 2. Your NOT A TURE Drangonball fan of the series.
Well, I watched this movie on theatre ignoring my younger brother warnings. I think I’ve made the worst decision in my life…..
Unfortunately for me, I watch the last screening of the day, so when the movie finished, there weren’t any people at the ticket booth. Otherwise, I don’t mind to kick some ass to get my money back….

Ok I just saw it, and as the rest of us die hard fans say this movie fucking blew… Well all know the obvious problems with everything the movie has done wrong. Its sad, I saw the trailers for the movie and knew it would suck and I still went. So I guess I had my retard moment of the week. Its kinda like when something smells bad and your friend says dude smell this and even though you know its going to be the most rancid smelling thing you do it anyway, or like setting your pubic hair on fire even though you know how its gonna turn out really really bad; as badly as this movie…. So to recap this movie rancidly stunk and is just as bad as setting your pubic hair on fire!

The only thing they got right, the copyrights were handled by lawyers, who are probably the only DB fans considering they got the names correct. Good job guys!

DB took the world by storm, without freaking razor TV spots, or Superbowl ads, this movie flopped because the same fans that helped spread DB across the globe did not recommend this movie.
The numbers don’t lie, this movie was an insult and from now on DB fans will have to cover up for this train wreck.
