Well, the voices seem to be a bit clearer I’ll give them that.
Hopefully, they will have a better format for Dragonball Kai soon, or else their ratings are going to go straight in the toilet.

Actually guys this is cleaned up very nicely, if u were to compare it to the original episode u will notice huge differences and apreciate this way more, also the fight scenes are going to be MUCH clearer and not drawn out so much and it won be just lines flahing around the screen anymore. Just 100 episodes igamgine that dbz frieza saga was like 100 episodes this whole thing gonna be 100 episodes. I will enjoy this whole series whether or not they modify the graphics(even though they did) people just to busy gagging at the opening to notice
if the saibamen and vegeta fights don’t look like they do in the opening then i am going to be very disappointed. You just don’t raise a man’s hopes up like that only to crush them. Here’s hoping for the best soon

Plus this is Dragonball remastered. None REDONE. You ever seen a remastered movie? Is it the same level as todays moives? O It’s just better than it was originally. Go look up some classic rematered movies and see for yourself.
You guys really need to go to a diff series. Watch Queens Blade and Basara. Leave DB(Z)Kai for real fans, because you’re oging to WHINE for 100 episodes.

I agree so much with Kaze they did mention remastered not REDONE. and like i said in my earlier comment i am goin to appreciate all 100 episodes and the original voice actors for comin back and redoin the voices. People that complain bout goku voice are the people that watch the dub 1st so if people still pissy bout that, gl waitin for the dub in america
well i’m not saying that i don’t appreciate it. i’m just saying if they are taking all this time to make the quality so much better, why not just actually make the whole series look good like that intro? and obviously this isn’t a game which they can actually make the graphics of the entire series look like that, you ‘fool’!
I don’t think they had that much foresight to making the show. How uch money do you thikn they want to respend making a whole new animation for the thing when it’s already been animated before? What you see inthe opening and ending are NEW animations not rematerings of the old ones. No way the are going to redraw half 1/3 of the series.
My hope is that the KAI means they end the show the way is was supposed to. Th Majin Buu Saga got screwed over, and the Toriyama modded it due to pressure from fans and such. That’s why there’s the whole Kid Buu vs SSJ3 vs Mystic Gohan discrepancy.

Patience guys. The subs will be up within two hours . . . in spite of the fact that you can pretty much watch the same series already in English merely by skipping over filler scenes and episodes.

wow i just watched the original dragon ball episode and than i saw the first episode of dragon ball kai and guess what nothing has changed as if dragon ball evolution wasnt painfull enough who ever wrote that they can see the change in texture and the quality of HD is full of shit why the hell am i going to waste my time watching something agian that ive already seen 100 times if your not going to make the show look like the previews than dont waste my fucking time
i agree this really should have been completely reanimated to look like the 2008 special but im glad they did something with the series. i especially like how it follows the manga closely.

the idea of it is too make it look as close to the manga as possible so ofcourse they are going to use the same panels, if they reanimated the characters like the new special they wouldn’t exactly be doing that. It would look weird if goku looked really hench at the start of the series. The characters and their designs change a lot over the course of the story. From cell games onwards it will look much more like the opening vid i imagine.
Personally i think the new generation of japanese kids who haven’t seen this are being spoiled rotten, getting db in its purest form (other than the manga). Plus it would be pretty cool as a mum or dad that watched it when they were young to sit with their kid as they watch it for the first time.

cant wait fo rthis to be dubbed, the reason why i like the dub a little more is because they dont make goku sound like a child -.- i just cant get attached to his japanese voice, i originally prefer raw or just subbed anime but ugh not goku’s voice sord of pisses me off sometimes, like when hes going to power up, in the dub he sounds kool!, well atleast well into the cell the dub sounds cool >_> i just cant find goku’s voice intimidating like the dub, in the dub he seems more intimidating to his enemies if the voice sounds manlier xD
whiners, its not a real remake its remastered and cut short. so stop bitching about quality cuz its still better than the old series. and every1 liked that aswell.
This might have been mentioned already but the whole remastered thing is basically just them finding a way to make more money out of DBZ cheaply, which is what the business is all about. This is probably more for the new generation and less for the original fans, wouldn’t be surprised if this was scheduled for sat mornings or something equal in Japan for kids who haven’t watched DBZ before and don’t know the story. They’ll levae out stuff and change the arrangement.
Overall its nice to see DBZ back on the air and a little different but I hate how they are doing this to DBA and FMA, basically remastering them, shortening and dumbing down the story, though we’ll see if they dumb it down though that would be pretty hard to do with DBZ so they probably take out the fillers, shorten sub-plots, and make things that took 5 episodes only take 1. Just think of this whole series as a RECAP, and a nice way to relive experience from all those years ago.

why don’t they just train in the Hyperbaulic time chamber? The room is already built and 1 day= 1year of training. After 1 year has pass they become like Gods. And this useless series will be over in 10 episodes. In my opinion, fullmetal alchemist remake is better than this.
they are following the manga superbly! nothings overly drawn out, the art quality is great, and the voices will take some getting used to ahaah
