In a digital space, Omegamon battled Mephismon but Mephismon escapes to another dimension… Meanwhile in the real world, Takato is planning to visit his cousin Kai for the summer. There, Takato and the others save Minami, a young girl who was being chased by wild Digimon. At the same time Ruki and Renamon were also fighting Digimon. It turned out that Minami was running away from VP Laboratories. Minami’s dad was a programmer for VP Laboratories and the creator of V Pet. The original V Pet program was on Minami’s computer. It was decided that for the time being Minami would stay at Kai’s house. But Digimon attacked her again. Takato stood up against the onslaught of Digimon. During the fight, a Digimon appeared from Minami’s computer, Shiisamon. In order to protect Minami, Shiisamon fought side by side with Guilmon. But Minami was abducted by other Digimon. Then V Pets began to cause problems on computers. In order to rescue Minami, Takato and the others headed to VP Laboratories.
