D.Gray-man Manga Coming Back on March 9

This year’s 12th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has announced on Monday that Katsura Hoshino will resume the serialization of her D.Gray-man manga on March 9. She has been putting her supernatural adventure story on hold since last year’s 51st issue on November 17 due to her health. The manga began in 2004, and Viz Media has just published the 12th of the 17 current volumes this month.Ry?hei Tamura will launch his Belze Babu manga series in the next issue on February 23. The story follows the “strongest juvenile delinquent” as he watches over the devil king’s son (and future devil king) with the destruction of the world hanging in the balance. (The manga’s title is a wordplay on the Japanese pronunciation of Belzebub/Beelzebub.) A one-shot version of the manga, which won the magazine’s 4th Kin-Mirai-Hai (Gold Future Cup) prize, had run in last year’s combined 37th/38th issue.Yukinori Kawaguchi will start his Hoopmen manga series in two issues on March 2. This coming-of-age basketball manga will join another similar manga, Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s Kuroko no Basuke.Kimiya Kaji (Yamikami K? ~Kurayami ni Dokkiri!~) launched his Meister soccer manga a week before Kuroko no Basuke on December 1, but it is ending this week after only 10 installments. The magazine’s Jumpland electronic manga website had posted the first chapter of Meister in English, French, Japanese, and German in December.

THANK you! Gosh, ive been waitin, wonderin whether they were gona stop d manga jus as abruptly as they did the anime (which btw is stil kllin me), n it was like “oh, great, 1st d anime, n now the manga?!?”
maybe its a good sign that they might start the anime up again because at the end they did show all new stuff so hopefully we get to see it in action,
woo hoo d gray man will return to our screens, have faith, we all know the quality of the Manga was exceptional. So if crap like luffy and pals gets to continue why the hell shouldn’t a top notch anime like D gray man.
While on the subject, who or what is D Gray Man, I’ve never heard mention of it in the anime, is it explianed in the manga??!?!!?

According to a post on a D.Gray-man site, this is what the author said from DGM omake in volume 3.
Q. What does the title, D. Gray-Man, mean?
Hoshino: It’s a word that I made up and has various meanings. It could apply to Allen and the other characters as well…On a separate note, I was thinking “Dolls” for the title before I came up with “D. Gray-Man”. Other titles I came up with before that were “Chronoa” and “Zone”.
Hoshino also said she based the Earl on Dorian Grey from the League of Extraordinary Men, which is a reference to Oliver Wilde’s novel “The Portrait of Dorian Gray”.
Incidentally, early in the anime when Allen’s arm has it’s second evolution (gun barrel) he has an attack that he called “Gray Man”.
Since there hasn’t been a definitive answer to why its called “D.Gray-man’, it leaves it open for interpretation

Ahh about time. BTW they stopped the anime because the manga had to catch up. The manga was stopped because she broke her wrist. So who bothered counting the months D.Gray-Man was absent?

I was kinda shocked when in the last anime episode the word “fin” was. But I doubt it that they permanently stopped with the anime. It is a popular anime, despite of the rumors of the few DVD sales. I think it is just like Naruto to Naruto Shippuuden. Someone should contact the animators to make it clear D gray man continues or not. I think D-gray man will or has surpassed Naruto already, maybe even bleach.
