Cant wait ’til this starts up again. This anime started kinda “meh”, but gradually became great. I’m kinda glad they’re stopping now, cuz they would have gone from this awesomeness to the retarded zombie and thif G bullshit from the manga. So, if they add that in the next season it’ll start slow again and then pick up. I personally hope they skip that altogether.

Was someone half asleep when they made this anime with the hope of making it the last episode or something? If the creators were going for an Inuyasha or Special A or etc ending, where the manga still continues even after the anime ends, then i think they failed woefully. What kind of manga ends with all the characters on board giving speeches and making statements that elude to the fact that there is more to freaking come!?!?!? That heart warming- strenght-giving speech that Allen rendered when he and Yu stood next to each other (looking painfully hot if i may add) did not hit the spot if that was the plan. Its almost as though the manga got pulled off the air because they got broke or something. I am so so disappointed, and I think having 103 as the final episode is utter and complete BS!

I know exactly what happened, and it is kind of obvious. They weren’t able to finish and instead, made it end with the reader’s imagination.
For those who are unhappy with the current ending from my reasoning the manga isn’t that far ahead of where the anime ends so basically they ended the anime to give the manga more time to come out instead of making a bunch of fillers to pass the time which in my opinion is the smart move because when naruto had a lot of fillers it kind of made the anime boring for a while.

Well, keep in mind they are right about the anime catching up with the manga. It’s been going around for a while and they do deserve a break. The author’s doing one fine job of keeping everyone hyped up every week with every episode. Although what I’ve noticed is that they added and subtracted some materials from the manga into the anime all the way before the Earl’s meeting with the little girl.
Side Comments. First off, Tyki’s one hell of a badass villain in the Noah Family. Lulu Bell with the blue dress (assumingly) is beautiful. Finally, our Big Boss Earl (as someone quoted) in his human form I would’ve expected his voice to change (and it didn’t) but his composure as a human is so down-to-earth. Even in the manga I do wonder now what made the Earl into an evil person that the Order is there to stop him. I mean, does he wants to make sure that the Order is in check of him or something? I mean judging from his appearance and status as a man like that could be one of the “supporters” behind the Order or even more so Central…IF and only IF possibly the Vatican? hmm?
# 113. Read the manga, its just fillers though. Someone needs to make a spin-off with Allen and Lenale having a kid who becomes the heart and has dark boots, 2 crazy arms and a bad ass leather jacket with a motorcycle, Wait, i think thats the Ghost Rider. If it’s not the end, I look forward to seeing the mysterious G animated. I think that would be a couple of funny episodes. Overall, it was a good anime. I love D. Gray Man.

From what I have heard, they are waiting for more of the Manga to be completed before continueing the series. At this point the anime has more or less caught up to the manga, so can not go any further.
Think of it being like Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.
It will be more or less split into two series like that.

VIZ Productions already has plans to release the ENTIRE series in America, as well as other countries. SEASON 1 is sceduled for release sometime next year, but no official date has been given yet.
According to the information that VIZ gave us, this means that there will indeed be more then one season.

@Genisay:This was not the first season.D.Gray-Man’s first season (also known as 1st stage) ended from 1-51.The second season (2nd stage) was aired on October 2,2007 to September 30,2008 with 52 episodes.So 51+52 episodes = 103 episodes. =] Yay,I can do the math~ I think I’ll probably die of thirst for more DGM if the Anime production waits for the manga to finish up. They most likely stopped the anime for the time being because it was catching up to the manga, and they’re waiting for the manga to progress further before they continue with the anime. It’s a hell lot of a smarter way of doing things than making a bunch of fillers while waiting for the manga to progress, because lots of fillers will get people bored.

I have never commented before but I just have to say that,
D Grayman is one of the best if not THE best anime i’ve ever
seen! I think the slow build up to climax is very important cuz
it gives a much needed optimism to a story full of gore and
violence. It also bonds readers to the characters so that when
the real kickass stuff happens, readers/viewers will know that
this anime isn’t just cool-powerful-heroes but heroes who are,
if not for their innocence, would be shunned away from society
and the way they overcome those difficulties is just awesome.
The morals taught and emotions shown in this anime are portrayed
very strongly and I think that’s what attracts me most about
this anime. It really leaves an impression on you. I can’t wait
to see the rest! And I hope next season comes soon!

i think that’s it cuz i read in Wikepedia that the series even ended in Japan. And the manga is put on hiatus again cus the author fell ill. Damn that sux cus i absolutely love this series!!! I believe there are 178 chapters out on the manga and the anime ends at like 158. So there isn’t much of a gap. I hear the manga isn’t gonna start up again till atleast mid 2009. So, if the anime was to return, it would be late late 2009 at best.
I would really hate to see this anime die! There are too many things left unanswered and sooooo much story left. Even the animes that end early get further along than this! I will continue to read the manga, but it just can’t replace the animation and connection you make with the anime
this is the last episode but in 2009 they will make the new D.Grey Man (the entire series aint over -_-)one of their players died who played one of the characters and alot of other stuff happened. Ex. awhile ago ppl where complaining that there weren’t any subs, and they complained for about 1 month. the subbing ppl have more than 5 animes to deal with at a time so they went on strike for about a week and came back, needless to say it may have happened again. who knows ?_?. just be patient Allen Walker will return… u can count on it

OKAY! Serious question here! This was a popular anime-Though, not enough people knew about it. I think there would be plenty of money for them to continue the anime-But I think they are just taking a vacation to make another anime, while the manga continues. Chances are, in one, two years, part 2 will appear. I just can’t believe they would just ‘Fin’ it. For some exact reason, with alot of popular anime, they stop it, leaving it to the imagination to the watcher.
Chances are, if the manga generates enough fanbase, they will continue it in due time.
Though, anyone know Exactly if ‘Fin’ really means the ‘End’, or do they plan to stop it there? Remember people, when manga gets money, anime will appear.
