Kris, the manga and the show are two different things, both are written by a different staff so yeah Nunally is dead. Anyone else notice though that the Freya was very similar to the MIDAS from Fron Mission? it used nuclear energy to seperate the atomic bonds of the atoms in the blast radius without causing a nuclear fallout, seeing as Suzaku is standing fine in the crater during the preveiw. so yeah Freya= Midas.

the thing about this anime is that it is actually quite realistic. leulouch is never invincible even with his geass, and there are still so many things that go wrong even though he did his best. the sad thing is that leulouch always get betrayed and things screw up at the last minute because of the betrayal.

In no way is this realistic at all.
lelouchs two main goals in starting all this was to revenge his mother and give nunnally a better world. If nunnally is in fact gone… is his remaining goal really going to help the japanese people? there are still a lot of possibilities for the ending of the really good anime

Nina needs to die. I’ve always hated her. But Nunnaly! Whoa… that hit me hard. She’s one of the few female anime charries that I actually like! Oh… That was so sad. I hope that something happened and she’s alright. I truly loved Nunnaly.

This is one of the most epic anime ever. A saga about revenge, human fragility, sin, sacrifice, self-destruction, betrayal, love, violence, and finally, tits’n robots. In all seriousness it is one of the best stories I have ever seen (although it would be more serious if you took out all the jokes that occurred more in Season 1 with the school, etc. and making it like a shoujo high school gag anime).
Lelouch killed Euphie, who was innocent and who he loved, because of he was not able to control his special power.
Lelouch killed Shirley, who was innocent and who he loved, because he was unable to control the instrument he created known as the order of the black knights.
Lelouch killed Nunally, whom he loved and was innocent, because he tried to save Suzaku from his own failures as well.
Because Lelouch tries to do too many things with his power (destroy, protect, and love) his downfall occurs. He is not strong enough to do everything he has tried to do. As C.C. said, he has the Power of the King and it will drive him into loneliness and solitude. She is the only one resistant to his power and the only one resistant to death. If Lelouch is strong enough he can crawl out of the abyss, but I don’t think he can do it without C.C. I think she will end up being the one who saves him and the only person he has left in the end.
(and maybe Suzaku, who has shares a parallel story with Lelouch)
Also, get this: He was never honest with Euphie until the end. This led to her death.
He was never honest with Shirley until the end. This led to her death.
He was never honest with Nunally, who could have done something to help Lelouch had she known the truth about him. Ultimately this led to her death destruction along with Tokyo settlement.
Lelouch was not honest with the one person he was living for and so it led to the greatest downfall.
The only people he has been honest with are
1) C.C. She has to live, and who knows what will happen in the end with her contract with Lelouch? I’m thinking she might decide to live because Lelouch has shown her a better life or something, but maybe she will go away like Haruko in FLCL because in order to make the series great she will either have to be unattainable or give herself to Lelouch and they will be happy lovey-dovey people.
2) Kallen I don’t see how they can kill of Kallen. Unless it is the last straw at the very end of the series or she tries to be a hero in order to turn around the most important final battle in the series.
3) Suzaku (When Suzaku agrees with Lelouch for what Brittania has made him do and they are both honest with each other, he will die in self-sacrifice breaking the Geass and fulfilling his destiny in order to save Lelouch’s goal.)
4) Rolo (honest with Rolo… except that he’s trying to kill him… but Rolo knows his secret. When he finally likes Rolo for his real admiration, Rolo will die.)
And they are the least innocent.
Possible couples by the end of the series?
1) Lelouch + CC (but will she stay and live, leave and die, or live, leave, and remain unattainable)
and
2) Suzaku and Kallen. (Come on. They have met in every battle, he can’t bring himself to hurt her, there was a scene where he helped her get dressed or something, she was in the final Scene of season 1 with Suzaku, she is the best fighter, and parallels Suzaku in every battle with Britannia. Plus, he seems to generally like her and they are both equally crazy and have Britanniab aspects about themselves and a Japanese side too)
Nunally’s death is going to make Suzaku turn. And make Lelouch hate Brittania more than ever. He will go insane, when all is lost, near the end of the series, C.C. will force him to snap out of it and tell him to be a man and fulfill the contract. She’s gonna make him have balls.

I think Nunally might be alive somehow too. Something to do with “The Gods”, Geass, and Lelouch’s destiny. Like how V.V. took her earlier. There are endless possibilities for plot twists.

I don’t blame Suzaku for the fiasco at the Kurrurugi shrine, it wasn’t his fault. But I do blame him for FREYA. Yes, he was under Geass. Yes it was that psychotic bitch Nina that equipped the Lancelot with the fucking thing. But it was Suzaku that pulled the trigger. The Geass only urged him to live on and use the means at his disposal to live. He had, ohh, I don’t know three-four other option at the time? One, request cover fire from Avalon and escape to it’s safety. Two, use the friendly units to escape, Gino was right there for Christ Sake! Three, emergency landing and eject to safety. But no, he had to use a tactical warhead to force the end of a lost battle for Britannia regardless if it cost the life for every single citizen in the Tokyo Settlement.
As for Nunnally, she’s dead. Same for Sayoko. The show is realistic and as proven many times before if someone is shot, he dies. Lelouch will either be catatonic or become a demon now and in that I agree with Gurifuin that only C.C has enough influence on him now to help him recover as she did so many times before.

Although the geass made him do it, he help create the situation that made it a major disaster because the people he sided with think that they are the ones who only matter while the rest of the people of the world, like elevens, are trash which means they can go all the way without worrying about innocent bystanders.

I doubt all of this is real, R2 will probably turn out to be the memories implanted by King Charles’ Geass in Lelouch’s mind as a method to drive Lulu insane and render his Geass useless. And even if everything stands, I wouldn’t flame Suzaku too much, he is under Geass’ control after all… and C.C.’s contract with Lelouch stipulated that he would walk his path alone, so using his power for Nunally’s sake, or anyone’s sake, breaks the rules of the contract.

some of you are forgetting that once that “live on” geass activates, Suzaku forgets anyhting after that. The “live on” geass will make Suzaku execute any options available to him to survive. At that particular time when he was losing and Lancelot lay almost wasted, he only had FLIEA. That geass trully bit Lelouch back bigtime.

The Live On Command on Suzaku is a pain in the arse, but without it, this Anime would of been over a long time ago. And as for Rolo… I forgot the point he has no choice but to die. Tis his fate for his Geass’ effect of stopping his heart to use it. So when it goes nuts and goes perm, he’ll number one possibly cause a problem for someone who might be around him, and secondly… It’s unknown how long he can truly last with his heart stopped. Guys I think you misunderstand the nature of Geass and the importance of the orders. An absolute order will be carried out regardless of the feelings and thoughts of the subject. But as you can see Geass can be used to manipulate the subjects wishes and loyalties. Guilford didn’t obey Geass orders. Lelouch relied in the knowledge that Guildord’s loyalty ultimately lies to Cornelia and not the Empire. He willingly joined since he thought it was Cornelia that gave the order. It’s the same thing with Suzaku. The “live on” command doesn’t give him some kind of specific order. Simply put it “urges” him to use the means at his disposal to survive. But as with Guilford, what means he will use are up to his character and his own decision. That’s why even though indirectly Lelouch is responsible for this tragedy, I still blame Suzaku. It was his decision to use that particular method to survive and no one else’s. As I state before there were many other methods he could use to comply with the Geass order.

Zero used the geass on Suzaku to save his friend while it was the predicament that made him do it while being in denial of the fact that the other side should defend themselves before it’s too late.
Even though Suzaku decided not to use the bomb under his own free will which the Geass override, Zero did not create the bomb or put it in Suzaku’s Knightmare.

1) Suzaku would be dead by now if Lelouch did not cast the “live on” order on him. How many times do you think it benefited Suzaku? Too many freaking damn times.
2) Nina is gay. Definitely the one to blame for devicing that FLEIA.
3) If Suzaku really didn’t want to use FLEIA, then he should not have approved of its installation on his unit. Are all the other Knight of Rounds have it on their Knightmares? I don’t think so. Then that Mr. Vampire Knight of Rounds should have used it seconds before his death.
4) Thanks to Guilford for saving Lelouch. I can’t have a straight face whenever Guilford calls Lelouch his princess.
5) Lelouch is of course also the one to blame for all of this. He was the one who started all this. Though if he didn’t do all the things he did, then there’s probably no Code Geass. So yeah.
6) Rolo could not have stopped time and save Nunnally (though I doubt he would save Nunnally, since he really has gay tendencies towards Lelouch, wanting all of him to himself), because basically Rolo’s Geass is not about stopping time. It’s about stopping people. Remember Lelouch proved this on earlier episodes?
7) I hate seeing this but probably the Black Knights are going to betray Lelouch.

He seems to fail to recognise what the Japanese want, they DON’T want to be under Britannia’s control, they want their own fucking country back and their identity. It’s something there willing to die for.
So why can’t he bloody realise that and stop being so idealistic?
In a sense, yes, Euphie’s, Shirley’s and Nunally’s death is Lelouche’s fault, but it is ALSO Suzaku’s fault as well.
If he got his priorities right, and his main no. 1 focus was Euphie, he would have concentrated on Euphie entirelyand playing his role as HER knight, and preventing her death.
Shirley was HIS responsibility as well, he should have taken better care of her like Lelouch asked instead of dumping her with some guard and letting her run off to get killed by Rolo.
When it came to Nunnally, so much for promising to protect her, his main priority was once again to go face Lelouch, be fucking stubborn, not realizing when to run away in the first place, and allowing the situation in which he threatened so many lives.
My God, I wished he would die. At least Lelouch faces reality and recognises when he is at fault.
But Suzaku? He just blames everything on the only person he could think of: Lelouch, who has already proved himself in actually wanting to save Suzaku.
He didn’t think Shirley was his faul at all. Fuck I hate him.
Lelouch could have commanded Suzaku to kill himself, but having shreds of humanity and remembering that it was his ex-best friend in front of him, Lelouch actually told Suzaku to bloody live on.
I have yet to see Suzaku prove his self worth.
And regretably he’s not going to die anytime soon.

Hmmn, i just rewatched an earlier episode of R2. Rememebr the girl Lelouch Geass’d into scratching a x on the wall every day? well in a scene during one of the earlier episodes lelouch walks by the wall the girl was marking every day. If you look carfully youll notic that the marks stop after a certain point. this makes me wonder if Lelouches orders have a time limit as to how long they last. If my theory turns out to be true then i know how suzaku will die. also the “Limit” seems to be just over a year, and the girl was geass’d early 1st season and Suzaku late 1st season, so id say it wears off theoretically within a few episodes. Be warned.

Guys, I found something interesting. On the official Code Geass website, it doesn’t declare the people caught in the blast as dead. I cannot read it, but I can tell it is not “Dead” because all the characters that are dead (Euphie, Clovis, etc.) all have their picture shadowed with different text, so me thinks there may have been something about F.L.E.I.J.A. that Nina didn’t tell Schnizel.

I honestly think that Nunnally survived. I believe that Rolo’s just lieing but honestly, I do wish that Nunnally died because she’s damn annoying. Anyways, the transition of the battle scenes in this episode was exceptionally good. As for you people asking why Suzaki fired the Fleia or Freia, well it’s because of Zero’s command for him to live on. Basically, it’s Lelouch’s fault, not Suza’s.
I have to say that if nunnaly really did die, then there would be almost no point in continuing this show. Lelouch has no reason to fight anymore, and if he still has the will to fight after losing Shirly, Euphy, his mother, Nunally, and CC (might as well), then his character is completely unrealistic.
There’s a difference between making a show shocking and sad and making it unrealistically tragic.
If Nunnaly IS dead, then the director needs to go commit sepaku…right. fucking. now.
