Im noticing large similarities between this and Eureka Seven, am i as crazy as they say or have you all noticed it as well?

this is not like death note, or eureka seven, or gundam, or any other anime. code geass is code geass. >O from a spectator’s point of view, and this is from watching several episdoes, the commenters appear to be looking for some sort of comparison. come now, is there anything truely original in the world? respect geass for what it is, with its serpate ideas and britanicca theme, and you may come to understand it more, perhaps more so than i have.
this is merely an expression of an opinion which, i hope, can be combated.

“wtf ur gay” What an original and well thought reply to nari. Nari made some very good points about this show, and I agree copletely. Although it shares some elements from Gundam (Giant Robots) and Death Note (God Powers), it is it’s own show. If you’re going to argue with nari’s elaborate comment, at least put some thought into it.
The only reason people think this borrows ideas from Gundam or Death Note is because those are popular series. There are probably countless animes that have the exact same themes as less-popular animes, but the less-popular ones don’t get any recognition for having the original idea. And there have been mecha animes before Gundam, so if you want to compare then compare to the original idea-makers. Other than that, Code Geass is its own anime because it brought those ideas together and made its own popularity. Seriously.
My eureka seven comment was based towards the Mecha designs actually, should have been more clear. Seriously though after watching the entire thing up until the newest episode of r2, Code Geass manages to stand as a singular anime with so many similarities from so many other anime mixed together so well it has no equal.
The only thing that reminds me of Eureka 7 is the opening and that is because it is by the same band, Flow. You guys should look it up if you haven’t heard of them they are really good. And between writing my own anime series and watching many others, it is very hard to create something totally original now. A great deal of concepts and ideas have already been used and many people are inspired by them. It is that inspiration which creates god writing material.

This show is like death note replica.. copy and paste…
The lancelot kinda looks like rah xephon. Zero’s first use of the Geas was a little Death Note-esque but as far as I’m concerned the similarities end there. I like it so far, but it’s hard to sympathize with Zero when he’s become so drunk with power.
I adore how the creators designed the White Knight. It’s such a great humanoid.
About this episode, I hate that Princess Euphie! She’s damn annoying.
