Summary:
Makoto Ito is a young Japanese high school student beginning his second term at the fictional Sakakino Academy. During his daily train rides to and from school, he becomes infatuated with fellow student Kotonoha Katsura; a girl that also commutes. When a new classmate acquaintance of his, Sekai Saionji, discovers his secret crush on Kotonoha, she helps introduce both of them to each other and over time they grow closer and agree to date. However in spite of her proud and triumphant matchmaking efforts, Sekai inadvertently becomes jealous of the new couple, having also developed feelings toward Makoto.
The following afternoon on her way home at the nearby train station in front of the school, Sekai finds Makoto waiting for Kotonoha to rendezvous for a date. He sits with her and reiterates his appreciation for her help, and feeling heavily indebted, offers repayment anyway he can. Though she believes he is overreacting, Sekai decides to redeem her obligation by placing a kiss on his lips as her train pulls in; quickly rushing into an open passenger car and happily bidding a dumbstruck Makoto luck on his date.

School Days Anime : Episode 3 “Crossing Thoughts”
I have to say that if anyone was somewhat bored after half of this episode due to the repetitively of things and no exciting plot twists, the final line of this episode would surely change their minds. I say this because I did become a little uninterested, Makoto’s ‘Dating Kotonoha is tiring’ would seem to mark a change in the progression of the story. Originally it has been mostly Makoto and Kotonoha, but being a single season series, we all knew Sekai would come into play soon enough. If I know anything about Sekai, I’d say she’d try and keep Makoto and Konohana together initially, but will soon and surely try and steal Makoto from her friend.

School Days Anime: Episode 2 – “The Distance Between the Two of Them”
So Makoto scores in the first episode with Sekai, and now again with Kotonoha. Things seem to be going pretty well for now, despite him being such a retard. Yup, I hate him now. I usually don’t hate harem leads no matter what happens, but seeing Makoto do the stupidest things possible...

School Days Anime: Episode 1 “Confession”
What a very rare anime series this is. This is a high school romance-drama, (with no fanservice, harem, monsters, magic, robots and with very little comedy.) While the artwork is detailed and lavish, the story is very simple. The entire focus of the first (23minute) episode is on the three main characters, which makes watching the story more intimate and cozy.Watching how Itou Makoto and Saioji Sekai interact with each other, one might wonder why Sekai did not put a romantic move on Makoto. Perhaps both Makoto and Katsura, while being shy, are very honest with their feelings, while the noisy and nosey Sekai is the least honest and most shy about expressing her feelings.But at least Sekai proves herself brave enough to express how she feels at the end of the first episode, leaving the poor Makoto in an emotional quandary.More later … If you enjoy romance stories, then ...
