Saiunkoku Monogatari

Synopsis: Shurei Ko is the descendant of a noble family that lives in the medieval empire of Saiunkoku. Shurei Ko works at the temple school as well as odd jobs to make ends meet although she dreams of attaining a position in government that is forbidden to women. Shurei Ko’s plans are halted however when she is offered a chance to be a consort to the young Emperor and help teach him to be a responsible ruler.
