Synopsis: A sequel to ef – a tale of memories but this time it revolves around the story of Mizuki Hayama, Kei’s friend, and the background of the mysterious girl Yuuko is revealed. The male protagonists are Shuichi Kuze, Renji’s friend from the first season, and Yu Himura, Chihiro’s caretaker, also seen in the previous story. Other characters from ef – a tale of memories also make appearances, but as supporting roles.
