Synopsis: Humans live in constant fear of demons called yoma. These vicious and powerful creatures that can take the appearance and memories of humans they devoured, this causes them to blend into society as they freely roam feasting on human flesh. The key to stop the yoma lies with the tolerated yet feared Claymores-women who are half-demon and half-human and fully fated to become the demons that they hunt. Meanwhile in a village the young Raki has been banished. His only crime was losing his family to the yoma. Raki meets a Claymore named Clare, and together begin their journey. While Clare fights the yoma plaguing the entire land. Will Raki help her in struggle to fulfill her density?

Claymore Anime: episode 6 “Teresa and Clare”

Ughh… sick. Sore throat, headache, cold, I guess that’s the major force required to keep him away from school for a day. Bedridden, I had now plenty of time to watch episode 6 of Claymore. And I must say, I’m overwhelmed. This episode proved me once again that Claymore is an outstanding anime far beyond my expectations.And I don’t know why, but this series has drawn me in quite badly. This is probably the first anime I have ever watched that had such an intense emotion at such an early stage of the story. Not to mention the overwhelming suspense that makes me go crazy… in perspective of the endless week that I have to endure to obtain the next episode T_T This is why I hate breaking Rule 7…

Claymore Anime: episode 5 “Teresa of the Faint Smile”

After all that happened in the previous episodes, this was a rather unexpected change of pace. It really looked like a new story, which threw me off at first - Clare was nowhere to be seen… Only right before the end of the episode was I finally able to understand what the whole episode was about…Also, please read the last paragraph of this entry. Do it, or else it’s going to explode right in your face in the following weeks.

Claymore Anime: episode 4 “Clare’s Awakening”

RAWR! Seldom have I seen an anime which built up so much WIN in the first episodes already. That or I can’t remember any good reference anymore. Either way, this episode was full of suspense and emotion, it simply owned, period.

Claymore Anime: Episode 3 “Darkness in Paradise”

Oh my. How…. cute! *blushes* Clare pulling out a smile (with brown eyes on top of that!), who would have expected this? I hoped for it, but didn’t really expect it so soon… That’s just awesome. This episode couldn’t have been any better.

Claymore Anime: Episode 2 “The Black Card”

I must say, I like Clare even more now after this episode. Although she didn’t raise an eyebrow most of the time, she did show quite a few hidden emotions there. I wonder what kept her from crying as she slew her only friend. I’ll blame it on the Youma. It keeps surprising me that she tells her part of her story to Raki, although she only knows him for a few days. Sure, it is probably because she finds his situation similar to hers when she was a child, as it has been stated by the man from the organization. But even that little bit of affection is, for such a person deprived of love, quite wonderful. If nobody knew that the Claymore were half-Youma, I bet society would accept them much easily. Yes, Clare’s definitely more human than she looks like. She needs moar love!!
