Claymore Anime: episode 16 “The Witch’s Maw (Part 2)”

Ah, it sees that my worries after the previous episode were all for naught. This episode was really good, and it finally tied the entire anime together. Lots of interesting things happened, and I didn’t even mind the way in which Galatea saved Claire at the last possible minute.Let’s start with Galatea. It seems that she didn’t just get her first place, just because she was very good at sensing Yoki. She also possesses the ability to manipulate small amounts of it, and from all 47 Claymores, her strength increases the most when she releases her Yoki. (It would be bad for her to awaken, wouldn’t it?) It makes you wonder how powerful number one and two are.

Claymore Anime: episode 15 “The Witch’s Maw (Part 1)”

This episode was slow. A bit too slow, if you ask me, and needlessly drawn out, so that the next episode would be able to feature a big fight. As the end of the episode draws closer, this becomes more and more apparent. And I actually like slow episodes usually, but this one just didn’t fall right for me.One of these reasons for this was that it completely wrecked one of the major reasons why I liked this series: the fact that everything made sense. With only one or two exceptions, events happened in Claymore because they had to happen, and it was completely logical for these events to happen, with no apparent signs of predictability whatsoever. And then it comes with this.

Claymore Anime: episode 14 “Qualified to Fight”

Haha, I’m glad to see that in the end, Ophelia did turn into a memorable character. During episode 12 and 13, she didn’t really impress me much, and her background story felt too incomplete for me to care about her, but luckily this episode changed this. The fact remains that she already had the personality of an awakened being, and now that she has realy become one of them, her insanity didn’t increase, it decreased, and she spends the final minutes of her life in a surprisingly human state, after she realizes this. Claymore Anime: episode 13 “The Endless Gravestones (Part 2)”

View More Free Videos Online at Veoh.com Ah, everyone’s been telling me, but I kept believing the opposite. When Priscilla went berserk, there was one Claymore who survived. I really liked how she chose to live her life afterwards. It’s quite interesting that nobody knew that she lived after she faked her own death, and how she became scared of dying. That’s why she’s nowhere to be found on the top-level Claymores, she isn’t with the organization anymore.

Claymore Anime: episode 12 “The Endless Gravestones (Part 1)”

This episode, we get a proper introduction of Ophelia, the rumoured heartless number four, with an unhealthy obsession on everything awakened. Claire gets sent on another Awakened Being-hunt, though this time, the only other one recruited was Ophelia. This obviously screams that the organizations is trying to get rid of her, because something tells me they know fully well that Ophelia tends to break rules once in a while. It’s also interesting how that Awakened Being just stood still for minutes, allowing Ophelia to continue with her endless monologues.

Claymore Anime: episode 11 “The Slashers (Part 3)”

So far, Claymore is good stuff, but there’s one thing that worries me: the fact that the manga hasn’t finished yet. Is there any sign of the manga finishing soon? The series may be true to it right now and all, but I fear what would happen if this series would get stuck in fillers.

Claymore Anime: episode 10 “The Slashers (Part 2)”

Omatase shimashita! I already watched the episode right after my Claymore 09 entry, but then I had to leave, and when I came back I started playing Touhou and Pangya… Well, that’s for the best, actually. My immediate reaction being unconditional Caps Locking in some IRC channels, I don’t think I’d have been able to provide you a legible entry then. Well, now that I’m bored playing, I finally found the time to convey my feelings. Enough blabbering already. So… The tenth episode of Claymore fully lived up to my expectations. Not only because of the massive amount of action, but also because of a very unexpected turn of events. More after the jump~

Claymore Anime: episode 9 “The Slashers (Part 1)”

Finally proceeded with episode 9 of Claymore. After the Teresa arc, we finally return to our Clare as we knew her from the beginning. And, to my huge satisfaction, everyone was right: it’s going to be even more awesome from now on. However, I am quite surprised, if not shocked, by all the new information that I got in this episode. As it’s an old episode, I’ll omit the summary. I think this makes this post also more legible and less tl;dr ^^

Claymore Anime: episode 8 “Awakening”

Sometimes I wonder. I could have slept on numerous occasions today since I had only 6 hours (2×3) of sleep for over 60 hours of being awake, lots of studying and 2 exams. Instead, I played some Stepmania, and some Pangya, I actually even started playing some Touhou today (the first 3 games for now, the quality keeps improving), I could have continued my Higurashi marathon, or worked on a wallpaper, or maybe even studied for my last exam on Monday (maths). And yet. It’s 2 AM now. I would have been asleep at least twelve hours ago, yet I just finished watching Claymore Episode 8. I really shouldn’t have. Not now.I don’t feel the fatigue anymore at all. For I am emotionally mortified now. I’m at a loss of words. Edit before publishing: Very honestly speaking, even after a good night’s rest, I really don’t feel like writing anything right ...

Claymore Anime: episode 7 “Marked for Death”

Breathing in, breathing out. This episode was once again filled with lots of action. As announced in episode 6, the four most powerful Claymores after Teresa are going after her… They were nicely introduced, we could immediately see what their respective strength was, except for Priscilla, whose power was hidden before the clash with Teresa. Good for the suspense, one wouldn’t really have expected such a clumsy and frail girl to nearly match Teresa’s skills. I immediately noticed that these Claymores are a lot more talkative, especially Priscilla and other Claymore with the spiky hair (they’re so hawt mmmmhh). Trivia or not, well, at least it shows me that not all of the Claymore are as apathic as Clare (although, that’s why I like her as well :3).
