The film is directed by Noriyuki Abe and co-written by Michiko Yokote and Masahiro Ōkubo, and the theatrical release was on December 22, 2007. The theme music for the movie is “Rock of Light” (光のロック, Hikari no Rokku?) by Sambomaster. The DVD of the movie will be released on September 3, 2008.
To promote the film, the opening and closing credits of the Bleach anime from episode 151-154 use footage from the film. Tite Kubo also published a special manga chapter focusing on Hitsugaya’s past to further promote the film.

It’s supposed to come out subbed on the internet a week after September 3rd, but thats only what I’ve heard. Anyway, I’ve known about this movie since before last December and since I’ve waited this long I can wait a few more weeks.

just finished watching it was a nice movie, seems like in bleach movies near end they need a team effort, but they did good at lest using Toshiro and Ichigo for the final Blow… Black Energy Wins the day, with the Ice Ring’s help… i like the after Credit its almost like the first movie but this time its our other favorite not yet a couple but a couple duo… but i still like the first movie’s theme better then the second movies. which is not bad but i like the first one better still…

This was totally awesome!!! Talk about intense and action packed. I was at the edge of my seat the entire time. I loved that Ikakku used his bankai and Ichigo his hybrid vaizard power. There is so much more I could say, but I won’t just in case someone is reading the comments before watching the movie. All I can say is that the wait has been totally worth it. Thanks so much for the posting this. You guys are the best!!!!!

What a boring movie… Anime movies never seem to excite me. Its just another compilation boring fight scene that we have all seen so many times before in the series. The only fun part is when Ichigo put on that hollow mask thing. That’s when the fights are fun to watch. Kinda pathetic how they only had 20 seconds of a good fight.

Awesome Movie, it was about damn time Kenpachi busted out and went crazy on someone lol. top it off, the movie was about my fav captain and the best Zanpaktou :D. and basically everyone important enough used thier Bankai! I have the damn old fire bastard, im sure the feeling is mutual lol, always has to be a dick and throw everything into choas… but that’s where we get our captain battles so I won’t complan :P.

This movie was awesome in the raw as well as with English subs. I thought it was great when Byakuya told Ichigo to go, because he obviously realized that Ichigo with his vaizard power (which is kind of a hollow power), could be the only one to beat this guy. They finally had to acknowledge Ichigo as a powerful ally.
I want to thank whoever subbed this movie. You guys are great!!! You subbed this in record time. Everyone thought they’d have to wait a while, but as usual you exceeded everyone’s expectations.

There were so many faults its unreal. First, Ichigo was in Bankai. Why did it look like he was fighting as hard as he could against those girls, with Rukia who looked like she was doing as well as him, when he could have just pwned them in 5 secs. Then, Ichigo using his hollow powers made him only a little bit faster than Toshiro, AND NOBODY NOTICED! Wouldn’t he get executed for that? Anyways, generally it was good. 7/10 Kenpachi made the movie for me.

Ichigo’s friends already know about his hollow side as does Byakuya. I think that’s why they were all counting on him to defeat the bad guy. One with hollow powers to defeat another. Was this the most perfect movie in the world? Probably not. But for true Bleach fans it was Freaking Awesome!!!

Harhar, the Bleach series is all about reincarnation. When someone dies in the real world they come to Soul Society and when they die in Soul Society they’re reborn as babies in the real world. Kisuke Urahara explained this with Tessai’s help and drawings in the Bleach movie: Memories of Nobody. BTW I totally agree with Strawberry Revolution. Kenpachi is freakin’ awesome.

this is the best most freaken awesome bleach movie so far hope the next one is even better
i thought the movie was badass an dthey threw in 2 arrancar and a Kasuka a wannabe vizard lol. but yeah im glad aizen killed the central 46 cause they are pricks for having two people with the same zanpaktou kill each other just cause they feel only 1 is sufficient but it all worked out in the end.
next movie i just hope there is more hybrid vizard ichigo action, oh and i hope his dad has a movie appearance with ishidas dad too, cause they were suppose to be some bad ass quincy, captain combo when they were in soul society.
Harhar yeah when they die in real world they a) stay and get eaten by hollow( which sends them to hueco mundo no memories of course) or b) become hollow and die and go to hueco mundo, or c) go to soul society D) die in soul society and get reborn ( no memories of past of course) back in real world. thats what i gathered from the series because so far kusaka was killed in seiretei and reborn in hueco mundo skiping the real world.
as for Anime Critic i know how you feel it seems like ichigo is getting weaker every episode/movie and can only win if he uses the mask but i come realize that he isnt getting weaker from what they are showing. its more like the plot is trying to show that his allies and everyone are training in order to get stronger. yeah an even though thats is ichigo should still be stronger than them. the fact is he is stronger than them but because he considers them friends he doesnt want to go all out and end up killing them. thats just my opinion though on how i see whats happening in the series.
but my question is why would 2 arrancar go with kusaka, even if he was reborn in heco mundo, and if he had the kings key why destroy soul society when he could had just as easily try to overthrow Aizen with that power??? thats what truly stumps me

frikin awesome movie, btw… gosh, wen iu saw bleach movie 2 i was like, “hell no!”..lol, theyve been hypin bout it 4 almost a year, n NOW its out… Christ, id already given up on eva watchin d damn thing…thot mayb id hav 2 take a trip 2 japan 2 get a chance of watchin it…kinda like with naruto movie 4… hehe!! ^_^
ahh man this movie was sorta bummer mainly cause the plot was sorta confusing and ichigo seemed really weak in this one. his suppose to be the asskiker in the show. also the shows suppose to be like all about ghosts and spirits and stuff but i kinda lost that feeling a long time ago now its just swordsmen and stuff like that. although action in this movie was pretty sick got to see everyone in action all in all pretty good =)
If i was a Hitugaya fan i would have given this movie 9/10, but am not his fan, i mean i like that dude more then any of the other captains, but not his fan, and so i give this movie 8/10 cause like BEEE put it up there, there was little to much of repetitive talking which they could have used it for some longer fights between any 2 people, instead of a GROUP fight which i hate, i mean who do u really give credit to in them the last hitter, first hitter, the barrier barker… ya so there was no struggling fight between the two ICE Sword pals who the movie was mainly after…
and boy Soi fong really like acting like a Dog for the Captain Commander huh, always the one to be ready to kill and follow the rules only..
ya although this movie was awesome being all around, letting everyone shine a bit and stuff… i think i still like the first one better for it had a better “i have to protect kinda arc” this one did not really have soemthing like that beside making sure Soul society doesn’t fall.

I don’t get why Aizen didn’t just try to get the King’s seal lol. Then it would all be over. Also.. Isn’t it kind of strange with how this happens with Kusaka and with the whole princess arc going on now in the bleach episodes and soul society is all in disarray that the espadas aren’t attacking at these times! I mean aren’t these perfect times to attack?!

Well done movie. Some spots where a bit dry but all in all it was a great movie. The animation was top notch. Too bad Kenpachi didn’t have a long enough battle. The all out battle with the 13th division could of been longer. But it was pretty cool. I’m not going to write down everything that was awesome. But, two thumbs up.
The movie is one of Aizen’s illusions while they are in the Hueco mundo as well as the princess crappy filler.
I love it but I personally think it would be better in full english.

Phantom Enjoyed this movie. He enjoyed it almost as much as he enjoys refering to himself in the third person. Phantom Also thinks that in there should be a movie where Ichigo’s Hollow Self Materializes and Wreaks Havoc. And then Ichigo Has to fight him in Soul society. the result of the fight? Ichigo’s Zanpakuto becomes more badass and he learns a different skill besides Getsuga Tenshou. No matter how awesome It looks its starting to get old. Also if yoyu remember correctly they never explained why the guy who works with Urahara Got scared when he saw Ichigo’s Zanpakuto. They need to reveal Ichigo’s father’s identity to Ichigo as well. And after that They train wit each other. Damn Phantom Typed too much. Oh well deal with it!

This was an awsome movie. Especially because it featured my favorite character Hitsugaya! I feel kind of sorry for his friend. He must have been really anxious when in the past he heard he might loose his zanpactou. It would be devastating. But I’m still glad Histugaya won. Hinamori doesn’t realize what a great guy she’s got. =P

omfg, this movie was so greaaaaaaat! Omg, it gives me heartache just thinking bout that toushirou and kazaku had to fight eachother… omfg >.<, but i think that the way they killed kazaku at the end, i mean when he was wielding the king thingy, and he had this enormous power, i mean it was like… fake. cause all they did was jump up, and grab him, and kill him. it all took like 20 seconds, and that’s just… aah.. nah nvm, all i mean is, that it could’ve been more fighting, but it’s ok, the movie was SUGOOOOOOOOOOOOI!

What I dont get is why no one reacted to Ichigo’s Vaizard form. I mean, I’m pretty sure several of his shinigami friends saw it when he transformed, and then Toushiro fought by his side to take down Kusaka…so….WHY?! Why did everyone act like they didn’t notice?!
I also wanted to add some things, since I went back and read other comments. For whoever said they liked the english dub of this show and movie because they liked Toushiro’s voice, are you aware that the voice actor is a woman? For whoever suggested a movie where Ichigo’s hollow form reeks havic…they sorta already had that happen, plus, he’s synced with it enough now that he was able to access his Vaizard form. I would also read the manga if I were you. *SPOILER* In the final fight between Ichigo and Ulyuquiora (sp?) when U. releases his Resurrection form, Ichigo fights him for a while in his Vaizard form. U. kills him, and then suddenly, Ichigo does a “Resurrection” thing too!!! Needless to say, he actually kills U. As for the levels that can be reached by a Shinigami, it’s Normal form, Shikai, Bankai (which Captains MUST have…though Zaraki didnt need to have one because he had so much reiatsu (sp) available), and then in Ichigo’s case, his Vaizard form, and the newly dubbed (by moi) “Vaizard Resurrection” form.

As everyone probably already knows most of the probablems that happen in soul society are all dueto the central 46. The bounts, that filler arc, with the princess ichigo, don’t know about aizen that seems like his own deal and this. everything would be much safer if those old farts got killed nmot yamamoto though he’s cool and has a brain. And i know he’s not in the central 46

One more thing, when Byakuya appeared in front of Ichigo and Co., wasn’t Renji’s bankai released? Was it permissible to his captain to begin with? Even in the case of Ikkaku, who released his bankai in front of other people in spite of promising not to do it publicly… I kind of find it confusing, hehe…
