    I hate to admit this, but so far I’ve only seen the raw versions of these eps, so I still dont understand WHY the zanpaktou are turning on their wielders… I get that Muramasa is a vengeful zanpaktou though…and I was sure that Zangetsu was going to stay loyal to Ichigo…so much for that…I had just been under the impression that he and Ichigo had been through things together that other shinigami hadn’t (like the fighting his inner hollow thing, and trying to sync with it, to control his mask and new powers…then all the stuff where they worked together to fight Kenpachi and Byakuya and to get his bankai quicker than anyone else…) Plus, I think Ichigo is one the few pureblood shinigami around (besides the Kuchiki family)…that should mean something…right??? At least his Hollow is defending him…I think. Stupid raws.

    i think Kenpachi is not there because he is the only shinigamy that could actually fight without shikai, therefore he would be too op against the rogue zampaktous, he would get d better fights and they would rely on him too much.

    That big cleaver is in a sense its shikai, or you could say it has none.
    Ishin said that shinigmani controll shape/size of there zampacktou, if they did not they would be side of skyscrapers.
    The sealed form at start is ichigo useing, RUKIA’s shinigami power.
    The cleaver is the awakened zangetsu, the shikai, is just a way to change a sword to suit your fighting style. Zangetsu saw ichigo as someone who atacks before thinking, as a berzerker, and his hollow self, is a enchancment of that berzerker syle. so he gave him a cleaver, that is perminantly released.
    oh and ishin is ichigo’s father.

    ALSO hollow ichigo would never follow that bitch, he will never follow someone who cant defeat him on even terms in ichigo’s soul. Ichigo was able to overpower him, useing the exact same power and fighting ability, so he respects ichigo as king. So dose zangetsu after the fight to achieve bankai, zangetsu wants the innerworld to be spiced up, flowers, outdoor’s he tryed to escape because he couldn’t bare the gray buildings anymore, ichigo is suposed to end up doing something about that in next 2 episodes. And oghci, ichigo’s hollow side, simply wants to fight, to become stronger, so muramasa or whatever his name is, has only pissed him off because now he has to deal with him, before they can go fight against captain zampacktou.

    ITS NOT A FILLER they just packed this arc into mid over other crap, it was suposed to come in 1 or 2 arcs after the fight with urlquoria, the 4th espada, which ichigo gets his 2nd hollow form, and problem is, when in his hollow form, he only has instinct, he cant fully controll the rage of power.

    ichigo’s sword is not in shikai mode. the shikai is when the getsuga tenshou comes out. just like byakuya when his sword turns to 1000 blades. ichigo just needs to learn to control his reiatsu.

    also, renji’s zanpakuto is suppossed to be a baboon. it came out when ichigo first invaded soul society.

    he’s just a zanpakatou of a nameless shinigami, they didn’t want muramasa to actually be one of the main shinigami’s. so, muramasa stands alone, he isn’t connected to any “real” (or known) shinigami.

    and the point about the pink haired vice-captain (sorry i don’t know how to spell her name and won’t try to), being zaraki’s is interesting and kinda makes sense, EXCEPT zanpakatou aren’t always materialized and a vice captain for that matter, lol.

    ichigo is always in shikai so why can´´t kenpachi have his martilized at all time. Zangetsu gave ichigo what he needs, so maybe kenpachi´s zanpaktou fullfild kenpachi´s need too.
    if my guess would be right the only one who knews the the truth would be the captian commander, and for that matter she can be vice-captian(since she never took place in vice captain exam)

    also, it now seems that shinigami+zanpakatou and hollow+shinigami (the vizard’s + ichigo) operate the same.

    we know that with ichigo and his hollow, they compete with each other for possession-control of ichigo’s body in the dream like “world” of ichigo’s “inner self” (or his mind).

    now according to muramasa in this episode and this filler arc, that it is the same with them (zanpatatou) and the shinigami’s.

    zanpatatou compete with each other in the shinigami’s “inner self” (or mind) just like ichigo and his hollow.

    if hollow or zanpakatou win, they get possession-control of the shinigami’s body (their bankai form, could be the shinigami letting their zanpakatou’s have some control over their bodies, hence their bankai form).

    however, if the zanpakatou or hollow actually kill the shinigami (like muramasa did) in the dream like inner-self (or mind) battle they have with each other, than the zanpakatou “becomes” (full-total take over of the shinigami’s body, and since the shinigami is dead, it’s permanent, obviously) the shinigami.

    the zanpakatou, i don’t think could ever take on (materialize) these true forms that we see in this filler arc (for example, we only saw the baboon-snake form of renji’s zanpakatou, we never saw his zanpakatou’s true form of a she-male baboon-human and it’s little snake boy). so i don’t think that the zanpakatou could ever normally separate and walk freely in the world. Them being free and walking around as their own being in the real world, as has been clearly shown, is from muramasa’s power.

    it’s just like humans transforming into a full irreversible pure hollow, when a zanpakatou kills a shinigami (or hollow form killing its vizard).

    ichigo’s hollow has NO interest in being anyone’s servant, and most certainly NOT muramasa’s servant.

    In the case of ichigo’s hollow, it’s muramasa who doesn’t understand ichigo’s hollow’s desires, lol… as muramasa is about to find out in next episode as hollow ichigo tries to kill muramasa. Ichigo understands his hollow much better than muramasa ever will.

     Here’s why this episode was awesome:

     Muramasa tried to release Hichigo’s “instincts” when Hichigo IS instict in its purest form. His only intention is to kill his enemy and be powerful. Therefore, Muramasa totally fucked up and Hichigo is going to whoop his ass since he is a fucking amazing and makes Ichigo look like a weak punk when it comes to fighting.

     Better moves, High-speed regeneration, Cero, same mega-riatsu.

     So. Damn. Awesome.

     You know its a good filler arc when people start analyzing it as fact. SHIKAI nerds, look at it this way, the sword has materialized in Shikai form, however it does not contain the power of the Skikai, OK? I other words, if you turn off your car, does it cease to be a car? No. Ichgos sword is the same way, all form, but no power. Sheesh, I know, I just made that shit up, but the entire anime is fictional, not fact. Relax and try to enjoy the fact that this is not another hime filler.

     Better yet, try writing your own Bleach Fan fic, and get pummeled by your peers because you strayed ever so slightly from cannon.

     I Will put this in Simple English. Zaraki and Ichigo’s Zanpactou’s Are always in Shikai because the Spiritual pressure is that high it keeps it in that State Perminately.

     and Technically ichigos first ever Sword wasnt really his because he was forced in to the shinigami via rukia’s power.

     What I don’t understand is how Before Ichigo ran off to soul society he was asked by Zangetsu if he could still here him. Ichigo said yes, and Zangetsu Replied “Good”

     Muramasa released Zangetsu and no Zangetsu is clearly trying to Kill Ichigo.

     Muramasa says he makes the Zanpaktou go on instinct… This is very confusing. I understood the Whirlwind Zanpaktou’s “Instinct” seemed more like personality. He is a pure blooded monster who likes to kill. But that seems to be somewhat the case of all Zanpaktou are doing. I relly hope this gets explained soon, and doesnt force us to deal with watch all the lame vice captains fights building up to the epic captains fights like all arcs.

     ANyways, seems interesting.

     first when ichigo first got powers he couldnt control his riatsu hence the big ass sword…..secondly, kenpachi never releases his sword in shikai, or bankai, so he simply wouldnt fit in this arc, beside he fights with only his own powers, and ogihci (ichigo spelled backwards) is hollow ichigos name, and he’s jus nuts.. and as ichigos instincts he only seeks power…. and wow the two arguing is hella funny keep it up..

     Yachiru being zanpaktou from kenpachi<<< i would love to discuss this further, but there aren´t enough information to do that.
     just another wink of my thougths… maybe kenpachi´s sword he uses isn´t a Zanpaktou at all^^ it migth be just a replacement xD

     Kenpachi’s sword is not really beat up and rusty, if it was it wouldn’t be sharp as hell, it is his swords Shikai form which reflects himself and how he fights, it doesn’t have any abilities untill he learns the name. Remember when his sword got broke in the battle with Ichigo, but we saw him again with the same sword - rusty and old looking, therefore that must be his permanent Shikai form (constant release type)

     Kempachi may show up later but Muramasa is the zanpaktou of Chōjirō Sasakibe tha’t the 1st division vice-captian. Look at he’s zanpaktou in old epi. and the zanpaktou that shows up at the end credits.

     2) I actually LIKED that Muramasa failed to release Ichigo’s hollow. That was what I was hoping for.

     Also, I’m wondering where Zaraki is. There’s no way that he wouldn’t love the chance to fight the zanpaktou of his fellow captains. He’s also perfect for this fight, yet none of the captains have yet to whisper his name (including at that summoning where they met Muramasa.

     All the zampaktou have the same thing in common. They are coming free cause they want to fight and kill more.

     If you look at it that way, there is NO WAY that muramusa is Kenpachi’s. All he does is kill and fight. Even if his sword doesn’t have a name it has to be the happiest sword ever.

     Instead it’d have to belong to some crybaby who never wanted to fight

     1. what if muramasa is ichigos fathers zanpaktou. he was said to have lost his soul reaper powers when he came to the real world maybe he was badly wounded by muramasa. urahara may know about this but he is nowhere to be found.

     2. what if muramasa doesnt belong to anyone from gotei 13.

     3. what if muramasa belonged to a soul reaper from the ancient past. so far no captain heard of him, perhaps only old man yamamoto, and once again urahara is nowhere to be found to explain.

     4. it could be kenpachi or Yoruichi’s zanpaktou although there would be evidence of them being attacked and yourichi even came to the real world to announce the problem. Kenpachi seem to be still alive because he sent his vice to the meeting. this pretty much rules out the kenpachi and yourichi connections.
