Obviously when a Shinigami kills his or her zanpakuto it reabsorbs in to that Shinigami’s soul. Why else would Byakuya be missing and why else would a zanpakuto attack it’s Shinigami. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get to see Senbonzakura call out kuchiki byakuya to release his new ability the same way Byakuya would call out Senbonzakura. Am I wrong?

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIT A MIN… to everyone who who has made a comment about ichigos having a shikai form after zangetsu left him is wrong. its not that he has lots of spiritual reiatsu or that they made a mistake its just that ichigos first form is broken… if you think about it he never did get it fixed from the time that he trained with urrahara or even before that when he first met byakuya, which is why hes always in the shikai, bankai form.

About Ichigos shikai… as a flashback on all Ichigos fights with his hollow form: the hollow used to say that he is Zangetsu, and it only depends on who is stronger at the moment, or whom Ichigo him self needs more, that deside who posses Ichigos body. ( may have some mistakes does not matter much) So if the hollow ( which was born when ichigo regainrd his shinigami powers) is/or is part of Zangetsu, that would explain the sword form.
The lol moment was when Zangetsu realized that the hollow using Ichigos power, was stronger than him. About bankai, i suppose he did use it from the start considerind his flashing speed, just that his sword form didn’t change…
A lol thing, that Muramasa didn’t expect there to be a hollow… yet he said he would release all katana both in soul sosiety and real world… what would his reaction be from all the other wizards at once?

Did anybody else notice that at 20:58, Ichigo’s hollow body had a giant hole in its chest all the way through his back, but as soon as the hollow shell fell off, the hole completely vanished.
Also, I can’t believe that Ichigo went completely hollow and still kept his Zanpacto. (The reason why I say Zanpacto and now sword is because normal swords shouldn’t be able to be in a shikai state. Ichigo hasn’t been seen with his regular sword since like episode 5 LOL)
Oh and, the point that I was trying to make is that if Ichigo was the type of person that didn’t have problems with giving control of his body to his inner hollow, he would probably be a pretty high ranked Espada by now.

THE FIGHT SUCKED.
Ichigo versus Zengetsu sucked.
A. Zangetsu sucked at fighting. He seemed way more into it when he fought Ichigo in the cave where Ichigo earned bankai
B. Ichigo sucked at fighting. He spent forever being surprised, and acted like he doesn’t have power of his own. What a wimp laying around to be hit by Getsuga Tenshou then relying on “Shirosaki” his hollow form.
C. Hollowed-Ichigo sucked. With Zengetsu fighting hella weak. Hollow Ichigo should have won much faster and easier. Compare “MASKED” Ichigo messing up Byakuya to “Hollow” Ichigo taking forever with Zangetsu. SUCKED.
Oh. And stop with the Muramasa is Kenpachi’s sword shit!
Best argument all day is that Kenpachi will no be in the filler.
If anything Kenpachi’s sword would be som sort of KENDO master. Remember Kenpachi was going to be taught Kendo (using two hands) but he rejected it early on. He used Kendo to beat Espada#5
ok, NO ICHIGO’S SWORD DOSE NOT GO INTO SEALED FORM, why ? becuase the form he gets in like episode 1, is from rukia’s power and his, its a temp form, when he gets big ass sword, well, you could say, it comes in shiki or it has no shiki, basically, as ichigo father said when he apeared, SHINIGAMI CONTROLL WHAT THERE ZAMPACKTOU LOOKS LIKE, it bends to there style. that or it would be size of a skyscraper. Its like how kemapchi, dose have his shikai, they said, its already released, he just dose not have a bankai, because he forced his shikai with his own power, he dose not beleave there is a spirit in his sword,
ichigo’s NORMAL sword is the big ass cleaver, as i said, ISHIN alrdy stated, a zampacktou bends to its masters fighting style, both the shikai and bankai, and ichigo’s sword, is perminantly released, it dose not have a sealed form,
BASICALLY, IT SOMETHING THEY DID TO MAKE HIM STAND OUT AS A MAIN CHARICTER! His sword stayed because, in truth, ZANGETSU DID NOT WANT TO FIGHT ICHIGO, he was just sick of the homo ass gray inner world, he rly has nothing against ichigo, he just wished to see the beauty of the world.
and NUMBER 2 —— his arms, he has 2 arms, if you look, you would see when hollow ichigo emerges from zangetsu’s jacked a few episodes back, zangetsu in a sense, is black fire. Thats what his body is, his arms hide under flames to look more intense. Zangetsu is black moon zapacktou, that uses black reatsu to attack, i gather later there will be some attack to do with black fire.
OK WHY DID HE SUCK AT FIGHTING, ZANGETSU I MEAN, he did not want to kill ichigo, he just wanted to see a beatafull world, since he is always stuck in the gray backwards inner world. When the hollow side came forth, he did not have the heart to kill ichigo, he couldn’t fight seriusly. he only defended himself.
Most other zampackto, if you notice, have a issue with respect, rukia;s sword, the peecock dude, that has a sword that steels spirit power, ect, they all have issues where they do not respect there masters, but give them power because if the master dies… so do they trapped inside. Ichigo defeated zangetsu to achieve his bankai, and defeated his hollow side, there is no issue of respect.
just gonna ask again. Does anyone know what timespan this takes place in? Just before the Heuco Mundo arc?

First off i would like to say I read through all the comments. Yeah sounds boring, but it was actually fun to read. I am really glad that at least 2 of you who posted on why Ichigo still had shikai form had the right idea. For those of you which were plenty kept saying that they had a serious plot hole when ichigo kept his shikai are completely ignorant to the bleach anime and manga. I do not mean to flame but it is true. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and say you forgot some details that made up ichigo.
1) Ichigo does not use that broken sealed form of zangetsu because he can not seal zangetsu power due to his high amount of spiritual energy, which (forces)keeps it in permanent shikai. Why was it in sealed form before you ask? because he never called zangetsu by his name; when he did it awaken and turned into shikai forever.
2) it was stated a few times in the manga that ichigo is not a normal human/shinigami. It was only stated once by his father that he is a pure shinigami. this would make him on a whole another level from the rest of the captains.
3) still doesn’t answer why he has shikai when other captains have sealed forms. the reason is if you remember back to episode 19 when ichigo became a shinigami by awakening his own powers because rukia’s borrowed shinigami power was destroyed? Well in order for him to awaken his own urahara had to perform a hollowfication on him to push him to that point. ( This process split his soul and not only did he awaken his shinigami power but he also awakened his hollow power as well. i.e Hollow ichigo)
We call this hollow soul of ichigo Hollow ichigo because he was born from ichigo’s soul(and looks like him) and his shinigami powers. Here is the tricky part though, since he was born from ichigo’s soul while he was awakening his shinigami power; Hollow Ichigo became in all technical sense Hollow Zangetsu.
(although they never refer to him as this, they do always refer to him as Zangetsu)
with that said The reason why his zanpaktou stays in shikai mode even after Zangetsu is separated from his body is because Hollow Ichigo/Zangetsu is still inside of him (and he has all the powers that zangetsu has because he is also ichigo and zangetsu this was stated in the manga and anime).
4) although it was only shown in a the filler arc with the swords that absorb your reiatsu, it was still possible for ichigo to achieve bankai while zangetsu was sealed, by only relying on his hollow powers. Albeit his bankai was not as strong as it should had been because Hollow ichigo could not absord Zangetsu to become stronger because he was being sealed.
5) Zangetsu has 2 arms, they have both been shown repeatedly in manga and anime, he just keeps one in his coat pocket. the coat itself acts in a way as a space distortion.
6)for those who were confused on whether or not u needed to know your zanpaktou’s name for it to be shikai form. This is false as the creators have shown that Zaraki’s zanpaktou is in permanent release already and he himself stated that he does not know his zanpaktou’s name.

7) ichigo hollow form wasn’t shown as being that strong during this filler as it was when he was training to control his inner hollow during the vizard training. I am indifferent on the matter cause each has their own opinion on how that whole fight went, and was suppose to go. All i can say is that his hollow form (shown in this episode) is stronger than zangetsu hands down.
if you want to catgorize this forms in comparison to other hollow and shinigami. I would have to say Mask release = shikai, Hollow form would just be a powered up Shikai/resurrection release, and his bankai/2nd resurrection would be the form that is shown in the Manga when he fights Ulqiuorra(sp?).

9) yeah about who muramasa belongs to i do not really know myself, i to want to say Kenpachi, but as fanboy as that sounds i too know it is not possible especially in a filler. Now because it is a filler i can agree with an earlier post that would suggest that it is probably Aizens zanpaktou which was sent their to mess with soul society. that too sounds far fetched but who knows until ichigo beats this guy and we get the sob flash back story on why he separated from his shinigami blah blah.
10) the reason why ichigo had both the black reiatsu and the white/blue leaving his body when he was overpowering Hollow ichigo to take off the mask, was simply just that. He was overpowering the hollow with in by using every last ounce of his strength to remove his mask and take back control of his body, nothing more nothing less.
- that ends my rant, and sorry for the long wall of text as it is long and i know 90% of you will not read it because of that, but i dont care, these are my thoughts and opinions about whats going on from what i haven seen on the anime and read in the manga. i just hope this helps alot of the confused viewers out there.

nick i am not 100% sure but i would say yes it takes place before the hueco mundo arc. ( and i find it funny they show you the true release forms of zanpaktou who we have already seen the bankai/ true shikai forms of) and in ending video they dont show zaraki which leads me to believe he wont be in this one because like was stated earlier they dont want us to know his zanpaktous or what it looks like, or even hint at its powers an name yet.

Zangetsu does NOT lose his arm for the last time, he was simply cut. Zangetsu simply looks aerodynamic when his hand up in his pocket. Notice he pulls his left arm back out of his pocket to block Cero. Enough with the arm losing crap and use your brain.
There are quite a few who seem to believe due to this episode that the writers of bleach are screwing up and producing plot holes, but I say the only hole is in the heads of the folks complaining about it. If these people really knew bleach they would wait for it to be explained in later episodes before jumping to conclusions so heavily. The writers of bleach love to leave the taste of uncertainty, mystery and suspense in your mouth, and some times unfulfillment. Many of the Bleach ” fillers ” produce significant information relevant to the main storyline and serve to complete many of the mysteries we are left to ponder with from the main story. If you hate fillers then you might as well hate all of bleach because obviously all you’re looking for are pointless fight scenes and pretty lights and colors to keep you clapping like a mindless infant zombie, in which case I recommend you forget about Bleach and stick to Power Rangers instead. Having said that, I love where this story is going and I believe it will be an essential delay to the main plot.
someguy and final de lelouch both of you are idiots for 1 reason. That reason, you think Ulquiorra is the strongest because aizen has never seen his true form.
For those of you who read the manga that is a common misconception, ulquiorra isn’t the strongest because of his 2 forms, he has two forms because unlike the rest of the espada he traded speed and strength for high speed regeneration. Aizen and the top 3 espadas may not have seen this final form but that doesn’t mean they don’t know of his true strength or full power. Ulquiorra is not stronger than primera even with his second form, he has told ichigo already even if he lost there are still 3 stronger than himself. (ulquiorra should have been #3 with that form) You’re pushing your luck if you think ichigo bankai full hollow can beat primera, ichigo could probably beat #2 but #1 and #0 are still questionable.
If ulquiorra was actually the best and you saw how easy ichigo own him, then it would make ichigo the strongest even stronger than #0, aizen, the commander general, and all the vizards. VERY UNLIKELY ichigo is strong but not that strong DONT BOOST. People get too excited over his full hollow bankai and make it seem invisible when its not.

If Ichigo was the strongest then there wouldn’t be any room for him to grow. He would just beat everybody and the story would be over. So, I agree with the Jizz face guy.

@ jizz on your face i do agree to say that i don’t think #4 was the strongest espada but what i do disagree with you on is that i do think if aizen didn’t see his second form it DOES mean there is no way he could actually know the full extent of its power just like anything else you cant be told about it and just know the full extent of its power yes aizen knew about it but he never saw it which means he never actually knew what #4 was capable of but i as far as ichigo goes right now he not the strongest but since he is the main character he probably will eventually be the strongest who takes out aizen which i really don’t want but since he is the protagonist and aizen is the antagonist you just know it will happen honestly i want shinji to take aizen out being as hes his former captain and every thing aizen did to him it just seems fair

hollow ichigo vs zangetsu
i thought the fight was pretty cool, until ichigo un/de-hollowed, ending the fight…. lol…
ichigo, should just let his hollow side take over and destroy everything (muramasa, the espada, aizen and his two shinigami followers, the shinigami, everyone, everything lol)… *grins*
though…it seems that the more hollow power (stronger hollow form) ichigo uses…the more quickly he gets exhausted/tired. it’s kinda like DBZ’s SSJ levels… ichigo can’t last as long in his stronger hollow forms, it takes too much outa him.
as to who is muramasa’s shinigami:
muramasa’s power is closest to aizen’s. but this seems impractical to be the case (if the episodes-fillers weren’t so out of order and jumping around, in the first place. really hard for non-manga reders to figure out the sequence of events cause of this).
muramasa’s design/art work/graphics/form/figure/appearance looks nearly identical to ulquirra’s. but this is also not likely, since espada’s (hollows) don’t have zanpakutou’s and doesn’t make much sense anyways.
muramasa doesn’t seem to have anything to do with zaraki, though it is kinda “fishy” that zaraki is left out of these episodes, especially since he and ichigo are suited to fight against the zanpakutou’s. this can’t be coincidence…i think muramasa is zaraki’s zanpakutou. though other’s say that in the manga, this couldn’t be the case, because zaraki’s zanpakutou is a later (hopefully) to come spoiler in the manga.
so, in conclusion….
it’s hard-impossible to say who’s muramasa’s shinigami…
maybe….muramasa simply appeared-formed as the group will of conflict that the zanpautou’s have with their shinigami’s….
i mean maybe muramasa is the embodiment of the zanpakutou’s collective conflict with their shinigami’s.
Really now…-.-…to be honest..and straightforward…erm…aizen knows each and every espada’s full extent in power…if u remember..aizen in order to use the hougouku he had to use twice the full amount of power of the thing/soul he was using it on…that means…aizen is probably twice stronger than the strongest espada regardless if it’s any epsada #4 or 1…that means if he had no trouble hanlding #4 in second resurection…he’s bound to be somwhere near aizen’s level already…
srry..that last part ..i’m talking about ichigo…and he’s either near the 1st espad’a level or somewhere far away from aizen’s level…but stronger than the 1st espada’s strength…

this is directed at the jizz covered face guy. i never said ulquiorra was stronger than aizen or 0 espada. learn to read before you make assumptions. (I did in fact say that he was stronger than stark, but with all assumptions i could be wrong, this is just my opinion not yours.) Now i have no idea how you got that i said he was stronger than Aizen, or espada #0. All i said is that it referenced that he wanted to kill Aizen thus he never showed him his 2nd resurrection. and as for espada #0, 1,and 2 we still havent seen all the fights so we do not know how it will end. Most likely for 0 they will have everyone left in hueco mundo defeat him.

Well ulquiorra has an hidden form wich probaly makes him the primera but none really knows that. And if you all stop be stupid and focus on bleach u noitce that once someone reaches his/her bankai they will keep the sword form of the zanpaktou forever .. i mean like zangetsu. Because if they’re not in an realesed state the sword is easily broken atleast that was what uruhara said this filler is just pathetic. And we already saw his hollow form before vs the vaizard they were all holding back even though he’s body was almost taken over none of them was serious so i would not say ichigo is an high ranked vaizard

When u first call the zankaptous name you will get a sword once u reach bankai u will hold that form forever. Not like byakuya’s zenbonsakura is a sword that is bronken easy like the old ichigo had .. no all those who reach bankai will hold the sword form forever but the weird thing is that they did not do such a thing to this filler. Because without an usefull sword the zanpaktou would win for sure so i really think this filler is messed up

I never said Ichigo could beat Aizen. I said he could beat the primera with his second hollow form, Im not saying ichigo is the most powerfull becaus he can’t even control that power at will.
But if he were able to control that power at will he probably would be.

If Ukitake can go toe-toe with primera with only his shikai then ichigo would blowe him away with his second hollow form.
