    @Gah-Sen that was zongetsu(ichigos zanpakto) have you not been watching the series this whole time? hes been there alot if you remeber when ichigo got his bankia he was there alot during that time

    @MJ kenpatchi does have shikia he is always in it like ichigo he states this in the fight against ichigo and is mentioned again before ichigo is about to start training for bankia

    @Pwnagedan Thats a rumor non confirmed people are just talking because they think it will be near as long as the bount arc which was near a year and it might be since the anime is right on the mangas ass

    @shane g: actually, kenpachi never states that his zanpaktou is in shikai. yorouchi hints that kenpachi’s zanpaktou is like ichigo’s and that it is always in shikai. whether he really does or not is still debatable. Regardless though, ken does not know the name of his zapaktou and thus cannot use any of its abilities, which makes it no different than an unreleased zanpaktou.

    @boomer it is actually stated that kenpachi’s sword is in shikai he says himself that he’s allready in shikai and doesn’t know how to put it bakc into unreleased form or something along those lines but it is deffinately a shikai

    I agree with what people are saying, this filler from the raw and the comments sounds really interesting, and from what I can make of the bad guys outfit, looks like espada! so this could be really interesting and even if it does last a year, as long as its good, I don’t mind, since I read the manga also ^^

    I think that they could make these fillers really interesting. I always wondered what the Zanpaktou’s true forms looked like. As long as they stick to a good story line I won’t mind watching these fillers. I bet Ichigo and his sword save the day.

    This is actually the best filler that has ever been aired in the entire Bleach series. This filler actually has more fight scenes and action than many of the non-filler episodes that have been aired over the last few months.

    I actually prefer this filler arc over the actual current story arc. I was so sick of the useless, dragged out and unnecessarily long fights in the real story that i was almost about to give up on Bleach. This filler arc actually revived my interest in the series LOL
    Oh and, I really hope that Zaraki’s zanpacto joins the bad guys. Since Zaraki never needed in the first place, he would probably enjoy fighting it to the death to see who has supremacy. I think that before the series this arc is over, everybody is gonna have a fight with their zanpacto just like how Ichigo had to fight Zangetsu and Hollow Ichigo to see who deserves to be in control. Or in Hollow Ichigo’s words, “To see who should be the warrior, and who should be the horse”.

    tom that was probabaly his “spiritual form” they are now in their human form, example the 10th captain zapaku is a ice dragon, but now you see him as a human. those “spiritual form” is probably symbol of the swords.

    It’s possible they could have Zaraki’s zanpakuto because they worked with the Bleach writer for this Arc for the zanpakuto designs and story, who said they would’ve liked to add it to manga but not possible. I also heard that Ichigo will not play a big role in this arc, but ol’ man zengetsu will. Not sure how long the arc will be though, but it should be one of the top filler arcs done for an anime as much as they worked with the Bleach writer.

    guys ichigo is not half hollow or half shinigami Ichigo is different from every character in the series except his sisters and what makes them all different is that ichigo and his sisters are Pure Bloods they never difined what it means to be a Pure blood Hollows and 1 shinigami called him a pure blood and yet it’s going to be important but nothing been said on what it means to be Pure Blood which is rare

    ok lets get this straight: kenpachis zanpaktu is always in a state of shika because he has 2 much spirit force and cant force it back into normal unreleased.

    this is definately a good story arc and wouldnt mind it being as long as the bountu arc. Ichigo will be immune coz his swrd has already accepted him as master, Or in Hollow Ichigo’s words, “To see who should be the warrior, and who should be the horse”.

    Doubt masumura is kenpachi’s zanpaktu as its using kido (spells) and if zanpaktu’s are mirrors of shinigami’s souls kenpachi’s would be a friggin monster lol. tho ikkaku’s zanpaktu is lazy whereas he isnt so its a possibility.

    Someone in the episode said that the zanpactos’ humanoid form was their “true” form; if that’s true then that means Ichigo has seen Zangetsu’s true form from the start. Plus, Ichigo was the only one in the episode who was actually listening to their sword. Because of this, I believe that Zangetsu will stay loyal to Ichigo even if the spell sets him free.

    You know.. It would be awesome if Muramasa was Kenpachi’s Zanpakuto. xD I hope they will make the episodes with each person fighting his or her own Zanpakuto. .

    To clear up a few things; Kenpachi’s sword is always in its released form like Ichigo because not only has he often mentioned that they are alike but his sword doesn’t have the usual shape.

    Second, Ichigo most likely is immune because he’s in the human world atm, got his Bankai in a very unusual way and is not a shinigami. There can also be multiple other answers but its not because he’s half hollow or whatever because that has nothing to do with his sword. Second Ichigo and his sword have an understanding closer to partners and not a master-slave relationship. Also, it’s been told a couple of times that all shinigamis can talk to their sword’s true forms and that they are the only ones who can. Ichigo is not unique in talking to his sword. You just have to watch the beginning of the episode to see how the shinigami get upset and frustrated when their swords stop talking/responding to them.

    This will probably be a good time for them to reveal Kenpachi’s sword since he said that since he’s never talked to his sword and ignored it for so long it returned the favor or is hibernating idk. This would be a good wake up call for it in maybe 6 months we could see it happen idk.

    The plot is good and I think this could be on eof the best filler arcs ever. It once again puts the main gang as the ones who most save the shinigami world. All of their abilities are unique so that they can fight back. Kenpachi obviously will be part of it since hes never used his sword’s abilities. He’s a monster even with his bare hands. The captains and everyone will play a part either as hostages or helping ichigo since they still have martial arts and their Kei/magic abilities. Also those two ninja girls (sorry i’m blanking on their names) have demon magic that they developed introduced in the rukia arc.

     A shinigami’s zanpakuto is literally a reflection of their soul, it’s form and powers are a mirror of their soul and spirit. A zanpakuto acts in a way to release the full power of a shinigami’s heart and spirit. ->Zanpakuto, when communicating w/ their shinigami are in spirit form, or their shikai. The ones you saw are in their true form bankai. ->The zanpakuto begin to rebel at their masters for ordering them around and from neglecting them.

     Hisagi zanpaktou is a monster no wonder y he fears it that thing literally wants to kill people and second Murasama is not a zanpaktou thus he is not Byakuya zanpaktou in fact his zanpaktou is that samurai loooking one that appears next to him just as Ashisogi Jizu did in fact in the ending song it shows the samurai looking guy with petals flying in background now what does Byakuya attack do 1000 blades that when reflected with light appear as petals flying around

     I think its gonna be great to see how all this pans out…..i mean i doubt any captain could beat there sword in a fight seeing as how they use them every time they fight and aside from the rare use of kidou spells they have no real power. The only way i can see them not getting their asses handed to them is if the vizard save them. other than that Ichigo is the only one in the human world gang that would stand a chance in a fight with the others zanpakuto’s. This is definitely gonna be a good filler arc.

     zaraki’s sword is never in a shikai because he never learns the name of it. cant change form without learning the name. the reason its shaped funny is cause he beats the hell outa it on everyone elses sword who will fight him.

     These Captains have had bankai for hundreds of years. The people who say “Ichigos sword will isten cuz blah blah accepted him” are stupid. Ichigo used Urahara’s BRUTE method to get Bankai. That doesn’t make him immune. In fact, he FORCED Zangetsu to accept him by besting him in battle.      NO. hey ave never beaten up their Zanpakutou in battle but if we’re talkign from an acceptance stand point, the Captains and Vice Captains did their part to gain the trust of thier swords. Ichigo DID NOT.

     In any case, Zarakis sword has not been awakened. You heard Muramasa say something about that. So Yes Zaraki can play a bit part. Ichigo will be important only because he is already better than Zangetsu. Zengetsu cannot beat Ichigo in battle. So it will be up to Zangetsu to be neutral, fight the Shinigami, or help Ichigo.

     Zangetsu is a new Zanpakutou, and doesn’t have the pent of anger the other do. That’s why he would help.

     kens sword is in its released form, he says so himself “my zampakutou does not have a name. there’s no disguies to my sword. it’s not even sealed in the first place. my zampakutou’s true form is this blade… the reason i dont seal my zampakutou is because even if i surpress it with all my might, my reiatsu is just to overwelming to be sealed. so normally when i fight i hold back and battle.”

     kenpachi has a fulltime released sword! If he’s ever knocked unconscious, it will not revert back to the sealed form, since he never had one to begin with. Ichigo was on the verge of death, yet his sword only reverted back to his shikai form. Never to its sealed state.

Although, i don’t really like the timing for when they introduce filler arcs, they don’t coincide with the series and it confuses people.      Soulista, in case you’ve forgotten what a zanpaktou is…it’s a part/reflection of the wielder’s soul. And since there are several female shinigami on the show, what makes you think there’s only one ‘female’ zanpaktou? Just because Uruhara is the only one who calls his ‘princess’, doesn’t mean that there aren’t other ‘female’ zanpaktou. He could have meant that his is the only one with a Gender Obvious name. I cant remember for sure, but I think all the other zanpaktou have androgynous names. If you want examples of other shinigami with female zanpaktou, there’s…Kyouraku Shunsui. He likes women, and pretty things, so why wouldn’t his be a sexy young woman? Same with Yumichika, he’s all about beauty, so his would fit in as a pretty girl too. As far as I remember, besides these three guys, the other female zanpaktou belong to the female shinigami. I mean, really, there can be similarities between the zanpaktou and its wielder other than gender. Ukitake’s is represented by twin children, because his takes the usual form of twin swords. Kurotshuchi Mayuri’s is a freak like him. We also have to remember that the zanpaktou are not going to be EXACTLY like their shinigami partners. It’s like the whole ’soul mates’ thing. Two people who are extremely close to each other can have similarities AND differences. The quirks that the zanpaktou have, could even be bits of the shinigami personalities that they haven’t shown to other people.

     As for the Kenpachi Debaters, if you want to comment on things, you really should know your stuff. Watch the anime or read the manga, because until you do, arguing about little tidbits like that, just makes you look stupid and ignorant.

     And AGAIN, Soulista, I’m pretty sure that the CREATORS of the show know a BIT more about the storyline than YOU. And if what you say is ‘true’ then it was most likely a translation error or something. And the reason it has nothing to do with the manga story arc is because the anime was catching up to the manga. They are making these fillers while other people are busy writing more of the manga. This creates a buffer so that the writers and manga artists can get a break while the animation part is going on. It’s like doing your homework while you’re waiting for a video to buffer. It’s only logical.

     2.Based on the comments, a LOT of ppl are looking forward to see what Kenpachi will do and if anything about his sword will be revealed. Sadly, even if we did see the true form of his sword, he couldn’t be able to learn his sword’s name.      though it may not be highly likely, i wouldn’t discount certain things happening in this “filler” because the anime team worked very closely with Tite Kubo for the story and the zanpakuto designs. tite Kubo was even quoted saying he wished there was time to ad this story into his manga. I also heard that while Zangetsu will have a big role in this Arc-which at this time I’m not even sure if I want to call it a filler(besides the fact that its breaking up the Arrancar Arc)-Ichigo will not have a big role. so you may not want to expect him to save the day, which I think would be better anyways. But again, I suggest people don’t assume things can or cannot happen, because this filler may work a little differently(besides main characters dying).

     It seems like this has potential to be a really good filler arc. I was getting worried about how fillers would turn out because the whole “Karakura Riser” stint made me want to break someone’s kneecaps…

     However, as many have said it would probably make a better movie rather than being thrown into the television series. So many filler arcs really botch up whatever the real story line is though. It’s getting a bit difficult to know what the time line really is.

     For all intents and purposes this very well could be set after the whole Aizen thing but it’s not really specified. Though it isn’t as though the shinigami could just say “okay we’re going to go back to the Soul Society and regroup, you Arrancar hold down the fort here and we’ll be back in a few months to fight you again.”
