i dunno, remember like 40 episodes ago when hitsuguya said that the espada were better than like 3 captains combined. It seemed to easy for rukia, especially with no bankai. no offense, but i think she just got lucky.
still a good episode, i love rukia, but has anyone else realized that they end like every single with them making it look like someone is going to die. i’m getting really tired of that, and when someone DOES die i’m just gonna be pissed then, cause other character have been closer to death (like ichigo 1000 different times)

Because it gives the story depth and makes it more interesting…this whole episode happened in the manga and it’s good that they showed us whut really happened between rukia and kaien. I bet all you kids that complain are either too young to comprehend the building blocks of how a good anime should be or are just simply close-minded humans…open your eyes and minds. -_-

Was that guy laughing throughout the entire flashback? That is very long laughter. He must have really enjoyed it. Slow ep but im not surprised. Bleach has been slowing down for awhile.

Great episode loved the music, the flashback added to some charachter depth and the way the espada was killed was because he was cocky and let his guard down, suits him right!

if you like bleach why are you guys complaining about this ep? there’s a reason why they showed flashbacks about rukia and kaien. and this is what anime is about, anime is not a cartoon. no matter wat you WILL see ‘in depths’ of characters. to put meaning and real feeling into it. you should be greatful its not kidish like. open up your imagination more.
anyways, good ep, liked it. oh and btw, you will see more battles later on. dont you read the manga?? =]
