what the hell is going on? I thought that this was supposed to be about a guy in the 1930’s.
This is divided into what I believe to be five or six short stories. The first one ended in episode 4 where the main character escapes from the mental hospital and starts to get into morphine. Though that is the end of the story in the anime and the book, the author (main character) later commits suicide a short time after the publication of the last part of his story.
wtf with the ending? just absurd how on earth did that happen?
